Why Phyllis Schlafly Still Matters
New York Observer ^ | 5/10/16 | Michael Malice

The Republican Party likes to present itself as the party of free enterprise. One of the enormous benefits of a free market is that it allows for experimentation in finding solutions to personal and social needs.

Phyllis Schlafly understands that free enterprise does not include importing the workers for the jobs that can’t be exported and forcing the citizens to pay the true costs of “cheap labor”.

Our current immigration system is simply another form of corporate welfare.

For me, she is a hypocrite, in that she did not live the values she espoused.

She didn’t live the ideas of motherhood that she claimed.

She was a working woman and mother who attacked the very idea that women would do that.

She did what she claimed to hate.

Plus, she put her son in a position of authority even though she knew he was a homosexual.

Phyllis Scholarly Explains Why Feminism Has Made Women Unhappy

Well, politics was my hobby. And I really spent 25 years as a full-time homemaker before I did any particular traveling around. And by that time, the children were well along in school or college. And they were very supportive. My husband was very supportive. I told the feminists the only person's permission I had to get was my husband's.

How does that reflect badly on her?

She's never asserted that gay people shouldn't be allowed to prosper, or be denied existing civil rights.

If it’s wrong for others, and she believes it is, then it is wrong for her.

She still had young children in the home, her claims if them being at school notwithstanding.

She has decried the effects of the homosexual on society in general, but when it came to her own homosexual son, she acted like non of her preaching against the homosexual lifestyle applied to her own personal sodomite.

She's decried the effect of the gay rights movement upon society, particularly it's tendency to value their interests over the personal freedom of others. See Brandon Eich

Whether or not you believe gays and lesbians should have their marriages sanctioned by the state-or are the best caregivers of young children-I don't see anything that's occurred in the past decade which has proven her wrong.

I agree with what she says, but she herself doesn’t believe what she says, nor does she live it.

She’s is like so many others, says one thing, does another, while asking for donations.
