I once saw the plume from one of those test firings from Vandenberg, around 1999. As the plume went up into the different levels of the atmosphere and stratosphere and the sun hit it, it reflected all the colors of the rainbow.

I was honored to have been chosen to be one of the launch crews on an FOT&E shot. Our Minuteman III separated from the suspension ring at exactly 1:30am, 4 Feb 1987. All three RVs were scored as direct hits downrange at Kwajalein Atoll.

That was one of the most memorable times of my Air Force career.

Our full trust and under estimation of Russia is dangerous as much as our dealings with China. Russia is not out of the game weapons development wise nor in ability to strike and even trigger WW3. Yes the USSR fell. But was it solely by economics or Divine intervention? The opening up of old Soviet Block nations to The Gospel perhaps? A small window perhaps then the iron fist comes back down?

I look for Russia to begin collecting real-estate especially in Europe where the Islamic movement is becoming highly problematic. Is Russia actually behind a lot of it exporting Mayhem into European nations to cause unrest?

Communism as we've seen in North Korea doesn't care if a company has money or there is food on anyone's table but the party leadership itself. Rationing is their answer to with the most going to the most essential to meet the goal. Russia does have proven nuke weapons technology. This isn't NK.

If you read this article http://ruskarec.ru/news/2016/05/18/eksperti-sarmat-nocna-mora-amerike_593967 (In Russian) you get the impression that the Russian elite have an inferiority complex. They believe that the US objective is to prevent Russia to become a world power, and in order to counter this they have to threat with the destruction of Washington-Boston, Chicago-Pittsburgh and California. The Russians are spending so much of their money on weapons that they have nothing left for their population.
