The opposition to Trump is not from the base or from people of principle.
It is from slimy, corrupt insiders like Lindsey Graham. It is from open borders advocates. It is from Washington globalists and neocons.

It’s also from the fanatic religionists whose stranglehold on the party is now officially broken. They’re not happy they don’t get to plunge the country into yet another round of the same old culture war that lets the Democrats win time and time again.
And as to those GOPe losers that plan to boycot the convention, why would they think they are wanted there in the first place?
They’re possibly the biggest reason America has sent Trump there.
it’s the lifetime GOP people. People who are so-called Republicans FIRST and being American and Conservative is a distant concept.
They are everywhere...mostly they or their wives work for or owe their allegience to the GOP in some form of Government.
In other words, the enemy in our midst. They have always been there. They opposed Reagan.

The political elite who want a one world government FROM BOTH PARTIES refuse to get behind Trump. They want America dissolved into a melting pot of non- patriots so that wealth will be distrubuted(mostly to them) and the rest of us will just fade into oblivion with Europe and other socialist societies with 2 classes-rich and poor. The political elite will parasitize us like huge leaches, sucking the blood money out of us while they take their huge cut and spread a little here and there to assuage their tiny consciences.
You WILL pay a huge global tax courtesy of Ryan, the Bushes, the Obamatollah, Hillarita Clintonista and the rest of the ploitically elite who lie, cheat, swindle and murder their way through life.

It’s the false conservative politicians like Ryan who have been screwing real conservatives every election with their lies and fake conflicts with the democrats.
To them the conservative voters are like the blacks are to the democrats.
They each try to keep their own groups on the plantation with their lies and maybe a meatless bone now and then when election season rolls around.
There are still those who do not give up their Conservative Principles so Easy.
Face it, Donald is mainly a NY Liberal, to some (including me), still.

Just saw a group on another site swearing they will write in Ted Cruz before they vote Trump. Frankly, in the general election, every vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary.
Voices, who assign divergent attributes are entirely gaslighting their audience. Believe your own eyes and break the cycle of Battered Conservative Syndrome.
Republicans have controlled the House for 18 out of the last 22 years and didn’t do a damn thing to defund the leftist agenda or impeach corrupt judges.

I agree. The conservatives I know that weren’t supporting Trump have said they will.
It is the GOP establishment types like Paul Ryan, Billy Kristol, and Jeb Bush that aren’t getting aboard.
Zero Americans who oppose violent Islam spreading within the United States also oppose Trump.
Some of it certainly is. This claim comes off as an insult, perhaps unintentionally. Plus, I'd argue that "the base" is as meaningless a code-word as is "conservative."
Or maybe it’s people who see Donald Trump turning away from all his previously held positions. Big left turn.
IMHO, the elite republicans have always been more elitist than they have been republican, let alone conservative. This is why they despised Palin and Reagan so thoroughly.
It’s split. Here in Arizona there is a large conservative base who really hates Trump and thought that Cruz walked on water. It’s like every other year. People are scared of the unknown. I, on the other hand, embrace it! Just ready to buckle my seat belt and go for the ride!
