Quick Note – It’s Not the “Base” Opposing Donald Trump
Conservative Treehouse ^ | May 6, 2016 | Sundance

Just want to point out something simple, yet seemingly getting lost in the chatter.

It is not the “conservative base”, the grassroots or the average Joe or Jane from Main Street USA who are currently digging in their opposition to Donald Trump. The base, the middle class, is entirely behind Trump.

I have found that the least moral people are the ones that think they are the most moral.

Funny how that goes.

“Finally, America no longer has a clear understanding of our foreign policy goals.

This will change when I am president.
First, we need a long-term plan to halt the spread and reach of radical Islam.
Secondly, we have to rebuild our military and our economy.
Finally, we must develop a foreign policy based on American interests.”

“I will view the world through the clear lens of American interests.

I will be America’s greatest defender and most loyal champion. We will not apologize for becoming successful again, but will instead embrace the unique heritage that makes us who we are.”
-— Donald Trump

Thanks for posting this from Trump’s website. He sums everything up very well and everyone living here should emrace it.

Quick Note – It’s Not the “Base” Opposing Donald Trump

>>>>It is a really heinous joke that Jeb, Ryan, and Graham - patrician criminals - all sucking money from donors ready to bribe them - talk about Trump not being conservative (even that elitist shill Krauthammer tried to impugn Trump’s conservatism...)

Blood-sucking oligarchs. They preach conservatism then laugh with drinks while they pass the Omnibus budget.

And as to those GOPe losers that plan to boycot the convention, why would they think they are wanted there in the first place?

They’re possibly the biggest reason America has sent Trump there.<<<<<

You’re welcome.

It’s clear. It’s simple. It’s something that EVERY American should innately support.

Those that go against it are not operating in American interests, whatever their words or obfuscations.

Like him or not, Trump has pulled the curtain back. No, he’s not a social conservative. He may or may not be religious. His divorces are common knowledge. He makes no bones about who he is precisely because he already HAS made his business bones on the world stage.

So, we have to stand fast and call those who oppose Trump on these tenets of Americanism as being precisely the tonic for what ails us. Cut the cake. The opponents need to demonstrate exactly why and how American national interests are not well served in working toward the pre-eminence and pride of the exceptional American superpower that we are.

I’m talking about the people who Cruz and Beck were pandering to when they did the whole “God wants Cruz to win” schtick.

I agree. The conservatives I know that weren’t supporting Trump have said they will.

It is the GOP establishment types like Paul Ryan, Billy Kristol, and Jeb Bush that aren’t getting aboard.

Zero Americans who oppose violent Islam spreading within the United States also oppose Trump.

Too much broad brush there. A majority of those ‘fanatics’ (rather insulting term) WILL vote for Trump now.

I’ve gone totally politically incorrect, as some have called me on above. But these people are beyond any pale...they need to be destroyed, utterly. Now is it, after this only bullets and guillotines will do.

-- The opposition to Trump is not from the base or from people of principle. --

Some of it certainly is. This claim comes off as an insult, perhaps unintentionally. Plus, I'd argue that "the base" is as meaningless a code-word as is "conservative."

Never pay attention to such people. Their numbers are too small to matter.

Most of them will vote for Trump or are people who never vote anyway.
