Donald Trump’s coronation as the GOP nominee will present plenty of opportunities for Republican amnesia and short-sightedness. The easiest thing to do, if you’re a conservative Republican, is to dismiss Trump as an aberration, as if his candidacy emerged out of a whirlwind. But that’s the work of revisionist historians, not honest observers of the last decade of Republican politics.
Consider this recent tweet by Meghan McCain, the daughter of John McCain and now a commentator for Fox News:
I hope history remembers those who gave up their conservative principles for the cult of personality and celebrity. And those who didn’t.

The myopia here is staggering. Although she didn’t respond, I asked Meghan if she remembers an obscure, half-forgotten figure named Sarah Palin? I asked because, in so many ways, there is no Trump without Palin. Palin was Trump before Trump. The rambling incoherence, the vacuousness, the reality TV theatrics, the ghastly marriage of ignorance and confidence – Palin brought this to national politics long before Trump did.

Megan has turned daughter of John McCain into a paying job. When McCain loses the primary election in 2 months, it is back to the McDonald’s fryer for her.
She is often found near the water. The water helps her short legs support her immense weight. I read about that in a dinosaur book when I was little.

You’re right why is McCain’s daughter important. One more politicians daughter (Chelsea Clinton) given a free ride by the news media. She graduated in 2007 as an art major no way does that have anything to do with politics. Her father was an absolute loser when he did not defend his wife against the smears out of the New York Times during the campaign. Meanwhile he sits down after losing and let’s the president of the United States tell him he lost and he won. All he did after that was grovel back to any Sunday show (Colin Powell 2)that will have him. I thought he was supposed to be a man of integrity and strength. We now see who he is a spotlight seeker like his daughter.
As for Conservative principles, I will certainly pit my devotion to same against hers or that of any Republican "conservative," who is still refusing to back Donald Trump.

On the most important issues, those which go directly to the survival of America in a recognizable form, Donald Trump is vastly more Conservative than are any of the verbal prancers in the Republican Party who are now deliberately posturing their disdain for him.
Strutting around and pretending to be Conservative does not belie the fact that it is Trump, not the faux "Conservative" poseurs, who is putting it all on the line to preserve the America we love.

All the so-called conservatives (well not all, but most) in the senate and congress who claim to oppose Trump because he isn’t a true conservative are bloated bags of hot air.
They attend the party convention, write a party platform with a few conservative planks, make a few speeches to sooth conservative voters then go to Washington and govern as liberal democrats.
But Trump, who has put forth many of the conservative positions they promised then forgot, isn’t conservative enough for them!
They promised to roll back Obamcare, close the borders, deport illegals, etc., etc. but didn’t do any of it.
Trump promises to do all the things they reneged on and as far as we know, he will actually do it.
She has big....brains
a year from maybe now she’ll be “dancing with the stars” along with Paul Ryan
