President Obama said it’s up to the press to try to expose Donald Trump’s policies, saying Friday that the White House is too serious for a reality television approach to the campaign.
“I just want to emphasize the degree to which we are in serious times and this is a serious job,” Mr. Obama said in a brief press conference at the White House, where he was asked about Mr. Trump becoming the GOP’s presumptive nominee. “This is not entertainment, this is not a reality show, this is a contest for presidency of the United States. What that means is every candidate, every nominee, needs to be subject to exacting standards and genuine scrutiny. It means you’ve got to make sure their budgets add up. It means if they say they’ve got an answer to a problem it is actually plausible, and they have details to how it.”
Mr. Obama took to the lectern to talk about the slumping job creation numbers, insisting the U.S. economy is strong and any ailments are due to a slowdown elsewhere around the globe.
But when he took questions, the White House press corps wanted to talk politics, asking him to weigh in on a race where he’s not on the ballot.
The president turned the scrutiny back on reporters, saying they need to press the candidates for specifics.

Methinks he doth protest too much. to Quote the Bard. They fear this guy Trump and now will do all they can to stop him. Look to see SNL, the Late Night comics, the Liberal press and pundits to toss everything at Trump they have. I also fear they might resort to Violence and perhaps Assassination. Hillary (and the DNC) will stop at nothing to make sure their rule is secure—and the Progressive dream is on track to bring about a Soviet United States.

This guy is never going to go away...is he? He’s going to constantly seek attention for years.
All the libs keep complaining about the “free publicity” that the media have supposedly handed to Trump, but we now have TV dramas incorporating transparently anti-Trump themes into their shows, we have Hillary schmoozing with Ellen, we have Moochelle appearing in TV shows, we have late-night comics who are mouthpieces for progressivism, we have Rolling Stone constantly promoting Democrat politicians, we have Oprah, we have ESPN turned into a progressive social-warrior mouthpiece, all the liberal women’s magazines, we have NPR, the NYT, Mother Jones, The New Yorker all solidly progressive, and on and on.
When Trump wins and Obama says anything about what Trump is up to ,Trump can say , “Shut Up I Won”

Obama doesn’t have an original thought in that little brain.
The press has spent the last several months unabashedly attacking Trump with everything they have to make him stumble, and Trump turned it right back around on them and used it to make himself even more popular. Now Bammy and the media, ever the revisionist historian, are trying to paint a different picture.
