Between adding to her ever-growing celeb squad and feigning shock at winning yet another award, Taylor Swift is continuing her quest for world domination by claiming the title of top earning musician in 2015.
The pop princess topped Billboards Top Money-Makers list for 2015, beating out heavy hitters like Adele and One Direction with a total revenue of $73.5 million. The majority of her earnings for the year came from her wildly successful 1989 World Tour, clocking in at $61.7 million.

Man does that girl need a samich or two. Back to the issue at hand. And CEO's make what again? How come none of societal just-us worriers have an issue with "entertainers" and their incomes? Guess they "give back" or something.

Some dumb-ass was moaning about football player salaries (70 - 80 of NFL is black) to me a while back. He was white, so I countered, “Yep, every time a black guy makes it big, some white racist wants to drag him down.
I laughed. He did not.

1989 world tour? That’s longer ago than her age! How’d she pull that one off?

Well, to be fair, the pay of a CEO is usually set by the CEO’s buddies (the Board of Directors). The pay of a pop star is set by the market.

Some sort of marketing scheme no doubt like returning to the “good old days”. You know back in 1989. LOL! Hell that was in the last century anyway.

1989 is the name of her recent album. Which is also the year of her birth. If she was born a few weeks later, the name of the album would have been 1990.
I think "1990" would have sold even better.
To: JimRed
“1989” I think is the name of the album. Also the year she was born. Makes enough sense for show business.

1989 world tour? Thats longer ago than her age! Howd she pull that one off? 1989 was the name of her album and thus the tour.
I searched Google for 1989 and her album was first while the actual year was the second entry.

I often say 1986 when I mean 2006. It’s like mentally I’m still in the 1990s.
