The head of one of Americas largest teachers unions said Wednesday that Donald Trump is creating bullying environments in schools nationwide that will take decades to repair.
Randi Weingarten, president of the 1.6 million member American Federation of Teachers (AFT), made her remarks during a conference call with reporters set up by the Democratic National Committee.
What weve seen with Donald Trump is that there is now a new phenomenon in schools called the Trump Effect,' Weingarten said. It will take decades to overcome the way Donald Trump speaks and promotes violence, xenophobia and racism. This is creating bullying environments in schools across the country.
As teachers, were going to have to work harder to help an entire generation of children recover from the hateful rhetoric that Trump has aimed at immigrants, Muslims and Black Lives Matter protestors, she added.

I wonder if they are proud that the US ranks #30 for quality of education and #1 for $ spent per pupil among developed countries??

If a kid arrived in class with a Trump shirt he would turn his back while other students were encouraged to hit the other child for "straying" from his directives. Imagine his reaction to a shirt saying: There Will Be Seven Trumps!

If that's all The Donald tweeted, I'm glad. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these groups are trying to bait Trump into responding in a harsh manner so they can then start a meme about how he hates women, teachers, minorities, fill-in-the-blank, ...
Stay the course, Donald!

What is really funny is that there have been published, peer reviewed, studies that show educator seminars on bullying actually increase bullying. Children that have a tendency to try and dominate, learn techniques and opportunities from the educators teaching the anti-bullying classes and the educators are increasing the instance and opportunity for the abuse.

Now children, repeat after teacher: “IT’S ALL TRUMP’S FAULT”
To: RayofHope
They absolutely couldn’t care less.
They and the rest of those entrenched in and running our institutions for too long need to be replaced very badly by fresh, godly visionaries. Sorta where this “anti-establishment” thing should be going IMO.

Whats next? That Trump causes people to become trannies?
No, of course not. Trump only causes bad things to happen, and sex-shifting is now something to be celebrated, not scorned.

Subsidize homeschool, charge for public school. When public enrollment decreases, issue teachers the same tests required of elementary school students to pass into high school in 1890 and keep the top 50%. After deportations we may need a few lettuce pickers here and there.

Funny, if my kids bring up Trump in their classes, they get bullied by the teacher.
Using the words union and thugs in the same sentence is redundant.

Huh! And here I thought all those demonstrations and protests full of angry people throwing rocks and bottles, smashing newspaper vending boxes, smashing store windows, burning cars and general mayhem were done by leftist liberal democrats who encourage younger people to do the same violence to get their way.
Wow, it was Trump all along, who knew! /s
(Leftist liberal democrats are the most evil abominable animals in existence, almost as bad as muslim terrorists - rioting and destroying as a way of life.)

Put the burden of getting good and passing grades back on the students instead of their teachers. Enforce the grading system. Do not pass students just for attending a few hours of "summer school" each year or because they show promise in football or basketball.
Fail the students who WILL NOT TRY and send them to work at menial jobs or to starve if they WILL NOT TRY and then let their parents provide the food for them.
Stop the enforced baby-sitting due to Administrators over-ruling the teachers who actually want to teach and know how to teach by order them to pass unqualified students to the next grade each year, if they go even a little bit to "summer school".
But I'm against subsidized homeschooling because that would increase abuse by insincere parents and cause a myriad of problems resulting in diminishing the movement's great qualities. Homeschooling is a calling and God provides for those parents who are committed to the difficult but rewarding task.
Random incomplete thoughts on the subject.

To: Mase
What an insane position for the teachers’ union. It is pure projection.
Schools turn a blind eye to bullying. They allow it, they condone it.
