Report:Taxpayer Cost for Each Illegal Unaccompanied Child Budgeted at $17,613 & Statistics Video

As the influx of unaccompanied illegal immigrant minors from Central America has increased, so too has the cost to assist each migrant, according to a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies.

CIS reveals that the cost per “unaccompanied alien child” has more than doubled since FY 2010, when the cost per UAC was $8,217. CIS projects that the cost in FY 2017 will reach $17,613.

CIS senior researcher Nayla Rush, the author of the report, reached the cost per UAC by looking at the total budget requests for UACs in FY 2017 and the number of UACs expected to illegally cross into the U.S. in FY 2017.

“The Unaccompanied Children (UC) program FY 2017 request is $1.226 billion in funding, which is an increase of $278 million from the FY 2016 enacted level of $948 million,” the report reads. “Also included in this FY 2017 Unaccompanied Children program budget request is a contingency fund triggering additional funds not to exceed $400 million. It is expected $95 million will be used from this contingency fund in FY 2017.”

The Obama administration is projecting that it will need to cope with at least another 75,000 UACs illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in FY 2017.

The U.S.-Mexico border has experienced a surge in illegal immigration from Central America in recent years with UACs and “family units” crossing into the U.S., seeking to stay. UACs from noncontiguous countries in the are granted special treatment once apprehended in the U.S., and placed in the care of — often other illegal immigrant — parents and sponsors ostensibly to await immigration hearings.

That is a lowball figure.
They have to educate the kids in our school and that alone is $15,000 per non-English speaking student.
Add EBT, government other supports and the fact tat these families have at least three kids and the average costs per family is about $60,000 a year or more not counting their medical with emergency room visits.

One of the things I like about Trump is that he will use a fact like this in his campaign. The RINOs would not as it might be taken as ‘mean spirited’ even though a dem would use it in a heartbeat.

Projected out over the years kids will get college + degrees and the parents aging into SS with relatives moving in from around the world also on the gravy train. A big bonus for those responsible is that most of the newcomers will vote democrat to maintain the status of entitlement, funded by other taxpayers and we will have a whole new landscape in America. I hope Trump can stop the One Worlders from this invasion of America before it is impossible to do so. We are running out of time.

This is mind boggling when you consider that Obama’s and the GOP’s (Cruz voted for..Sessions voted NO) last budget CUTS SS Widow benefits and other benefits for CITIZENS. Mine will be cut by over HALF! I welcome cuts to SS, but it should be for EVERYONE. I’d gladly take the $17,613 they are giving these aliens.

$17613? That wouldn't even cover the cost of government schooling/ year/ child.

Nope! It the true cost ** MUCH*** more than that!

By the way, whatever your school district says it costs to warehouse ( oops! “school”) a child **double** or triple that amount. Government schools merely report the funding they receive per child to cover operating the costs. The true cost for government schooling is far far higher.

Remember! Government schools have accounting methods that would make Enron accountants blush.
