I remember grassroots conservatives celebrating when he was elected two years ago because it meant adding another Republican to the Senate who takes his principles seriously. Now heres Sasse last night reiterating that he takes his principles seriously enough not to vote for a big-government liberal just because hes the partys nominee and hell be excoriated for it.
Oh well. The principled choice is rarely the popular one.

Nobody has to like Trump but they need to be wise enough to realize that the man gets things done and he knows how to put together a team that can do so.
That’s exactly what we need.
Anyone whose “principles” can’t guide them to make a choice between Trump and Clinton has their head in the sand.
Even if you view Trump as a joker, he’s still infinitely preferable to the Spawn of Satan herself - it’s not even close. It’s not even close to close.
Ben your star will sink if you try walking around when yoiur head is up your ash.

Don’t give a damn about what these schmucks think - don’t like most and hate a few.
Eyes on 2020
This is the guy George Will the atheist #NeverTrumper wants to run in 4 years.
Looks like Sasse’s true colors came out.
Harvard, Yale, management consulting, Bush admin, private equity clients, healthcare investors... that’s a resume that says anything BUT “Constitutionalist” to me.
Another Trojan Horse in conservative clothing, just as Cruz was.
What a fool he is.
Sounds about right
Oh, and Trump never asked God for forgiveness of his sins,
So I’m going to vote for a woman who dedicated her senior thesis to a satanist
Everyone who ‘sits this one out’ is casting a vote for the criminal Hillary.
Looks like a list of egomaniacs who like to hear themselves talk. They are all so smart...just ask them! I wish they would all just go away and shut up. Nothing worse than a sore loser.
No, actually, he has his head elsewhere - up his elitist ass. Yet another candidate that ran with the “tea party” tag, then ran away from it once he was elected.
Ben Sasse, Republican? Libertarian? Tea Party selected?
Riddle me something.
Why hasn’t he allied with Mike Lee, McDaniel, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz and started a pro-liberty bloc to fight the powers?
Where was he when Cruz filibustered last year (was he even in office yet? Mike Lee and Rand Paul were, where were they?).
Don’t believe him for a minute. They/he wouldn’t have gotten into office if he hadn’t been co-opted or was corruptible or black-mailable.
In the words of the magician Doug Henning, “It’s all an illusion.”
No Trump but yes on criminal Hillary and dictator obama. They are snakes in the weeds in our government.
GOP gravey train. His name reminds we of that line in Carlito’s Way. Carlito says to Benny Blanco the neighborhood crook who’s looking to collect from Saso (names substituted):
Carlito (DT) - Well, I don’t know you. So, I don’t owe you, Saso (Sasse) does.My place now, new rules. Everybody pays, okay?
Sasse is another weasel who sold it to the global cabal.Get out of the way Sasse. New sheriff in town.
Hear hear. I prefer politicians to be open about their inclinations.
I believe Mark Levin said that he will back Trump when Cruz is eliminated.
