Donald Trump reached a new high among Republicans in a national NBC News|SurveyMonkey poll released Tuesday.

The real estate mogul has 56 percent support, more than doubling his advantage over Ted Cruz, who sits at 22 percent. John Kasich rounds out the survey with 14 percent support. An additional 7 percent remain undecided.

Trump is the only Republican candidate with any mathematical path to securing the GOP nomination outright, though Cruz and Kasich are hoping to emerge as the nominee at a contested convention in July should Trump fall short of the requisite 1,237 delegates.

There is that nasty 50% ceiling blown to pieces. As Newt Gingrich would say none of the punditry has been right about Trump so why should we believe them?

Trump is scaring me.

Now claiming Cruz’s father had role in JFK assassination?

And what he has told the NYT, I hope he isn’t some Lonesome Rhodes.

Trump has busted through the 50% mark big time. Karl Rove needs to be put on suicide watch. Cruz is in a downward spiral like an airplane out of control.

CNN has Trump at 1,002 delegates.
Except for Mainstream shills in the media, the campaign has moved on to Trump vs Clinton.
The people who are scared should go to a safe zone, probably Democrat headquarters, and meet up with old friends.

Here in Indiana local media is reporting a “heavy” turnout and that Ted Cruz is preparing a “somber” speech for tonight. Stick a fork in Teddy because I hear a fat lady singing.

If that is the case, then Trump should have no problem at all getting to 1,237 on the first ballot. Trump supporters should want Cruz, Kasich and "Not Trump" supporters along for the ride. Since Trump is doing so well, there is no need to have thread after thread, post after post bashing anyone who isn't Trump.

Patience. The convention is coming, and if you want Trump to win the general election, now is not a good time to be antagonistic against other Republicans, many who do not accept the portrayal by many Trump supporters of Cruz' character, experience or ability.

I was saying nothing about what Trump needs to do. I was suggesting how those who support Trump would best serve their candidate and conservatism.

Cruz only had $8 million on hand BEFORE spending a fortune in IN. He loses here, he’ll run out of hard money to run his ops.

He very well might. That's part of the process, too. I remember in '76 Scoop Jackson was trying to challenge Jimmy Carter in states like Pennsylvania, but didn't have the money to do it effectively.

I do hope there will room in the future where the candidates don't have to be self-funding in order to challenge the Establishment-anointed candidate.
