Urging voters to pick him over rival and Republican front-runner Donald Trump, presidential candidate Ted Cruz framed the battle to win the Indiana primary as a choice between good and evil.

"I believe in the people of the Hoosier state. I believe that the men and women gathered here and the goodness of the American people, that we will not give into evil but we will remember who we are and we will stand for our values,” Cruz said at a rally in La Porte, Indiana.

Cruz is a reliable supporter of the Insider GimmyDats . . . Anyone who had any common sense rather than some hangup with becoming President before they were fifty would have made a deal with Trump for the VP slot . . .

You are entitled to that opinion, of course, but I hope more people on FR will eventually read the objective facts - not single tactical votes taken out of context, but the actual complete voting record. There is a reason Cruz is ranked as one of the top three conservatives in the US Senate by every organization that does rankings, including liberals who hate him the most, and it's not because of those rare positions that were taken to make a point. If his biggest flaw is not giving up when Trump was winning, in the long term that's not really as terrible a problem as some seem to think.

Trump is going to be the nominee, and eventually we'll find out if the Trump voters were right, but eight years from now (if not sooner) we will need to replace him. I hope we will have recovered from the silly season and started recognizing facts again before that time comes.

It worries me that so many even on FR treat Cruz as Hillary's evil twin, when that is the opposite of the truth. Cruz is the most conservative candidate in the race this year, and Kasich is so close to Hillary's positions that the differences between Kasich and Hillary only barely matter. I miss the days when republicans paid attention to reality.

His biggest flaw is that he’s incapable of empathy with any other human being on the planet. There’s a name for that sort of derangement, look it up if you care.

THIS is exactly why he continues to sink.

Nobody wants this ‘in your face’ crap of him, or anyone else, determining just who is good and who is evil.

It’s exactly why people turn away from him, I’ve seen it heard it over and over for months. Stupid tact to take, but he has an ‘image’ to uphold. Dumba**

Yup, According to Joe Walsh (5-7 p.m. on 560 am out of Chicago)Cruz like his buddy Beck is calling Trump evil which he equated to the devil...

Cruz said “...I believe in the men and women and the goodness of the American people that we will not give into evil...

Today his dad implored Pastor Rafael Cruz, father of Ted Cruz, asked members of the Body of Christ to vote Cruz:

“I implore every member of the Body of Christ to vote according to the word of God. And vote for the candidate that stands for the word of God and the Constitution of the United States of America… The alternative could be the destruction of America.”

These guys are over the top!!!

Unreal, and I’ve yet to hear him say anything negative about Hillary or Sanders. Maybe I missed it, but I can’t recall one thing he’s said negative about those two.

The negative thing I recall him saying was that Hillary and Trump have same views on issues, and that Hillary would pick Trump for VP....

I don’t like his tactics at all. None of his or his Dad or Beck’s tactics seem very Christian to me.

WTF? Now he’s portraying Trump as Satan?

It appears so. But at least Ted Cruz isn't hysterical or irrational, or anything...

Attack me if you like, Trumpsters, for my supposed "support of a contested convention"

Well, do you or don't you support such a foolish thing?

You said: Once, back when he was opposing ObamaCare in the Senate, I liked Cruz. Stuff like this has turned me against him.

So why would you support a contested convention?

A contested convention brings in all sorts of risks, with absolutely no reward...

Vote Trump
