Note: If Hispanic Trump supporters had taken a stand outside the OC Fairgrounds Trump Rally or at the CA-GOP Convention (SF Hyatt Hotel), there would have been bloodshed. The 'Latinos for Trump' would have been given a police escort or ambulance ride out of town. I'm afraid it's going to be a long, hot summer. The media are crafting a narrative according to which any violence against Trump and his supporters will be blamed on Trump; they are giving a green light to violence.

I sincerely hope that the Trump supporters are not drawn to disrupt Democratic events in retaliation. No matter how the media try to spin things, I believe that most of the general public will eventually realize who the violent people are (Dems), and who they support.

My wife as born in Mexico and after filing papers some 18 years ago got her citizenship last year.

This is the situation...

You can be poor in Mexico and maybe starve since there is no social programs. So they are here for benefits first, then work.
If they are illegal it they rarely pay taxes and don't get a work number even though that could be for their benefit.

90% here legal and illegal want open borders because it is their country next door. This also makes them in general poor candidates for citizenship. No primary loyalty in many cases to the USA.

I know some collecting welfare or disability and the sending the money South to pay off their estates.

Wall needed, E-verify system with fines to employer.
Maybe spot checks on gardening and construction sites.

Take away the sugar, replace it with salt and things will reverse.

Billions a year for the children of illegals n our school system. Need to send them home.

Mexicans are VERY nationalistic. It isn't racism for the USA to apply a more America first attitude itself. That is not racism either, but maybe expecting 80% of all immigration to be Medical could be?

My girlfriend is from the Philippines, and grew up in a house with no electricity and no running water. Her parents were flakes, and she was mostly raised by her grandparents.

They saved their money and sent her to a Catholic school, where she learned to read, write, and speak excellent English. She eventually came to America, and taught literature at the college level for many years before retiring.

Without the twin "evils" of Spanish colonialism and a Catholic education, she'd probably still be in that village.
