Former Texas governor, Rick Perry denounced his colleague Ted Cruz and officially sided with Donald Trump.
Perry appeared on ABCs The View and shocked the country when he did not side with Cruz who hails from his state.
Texas loyalty has helped the Cruz campaign for some time and this change is a massive defeat for Lyin Ted. At first, Perry seemed reluctant to fully praise Donald. He specified that some of Trumps brash insults worry him and he wishes Donald could adopt a more serious tone. However, Trumps positives clearly outweigh his occasional outbursts because Perry formally told reporters that at the end of the day he would vote Trump!
Perry continued to warn viewers about the risky policies Clinton is proposing. As a strong republican, Rick believes that Clintons need to empower Washington and strengthen the federal government could crush the American way.
Cruz has yet to comment on the betrayal. Certainly, the Trump Train is happy to welcome any newcomer to the campaign. Donald is prepared to change the country and he wants each and every citizen to help him make America great again!
“because he doesnt get along with Washington.”
I never could figure out how he would get his proposals enacted when almost 100% of Congress hates him. And the idea that you can go into DC and abolish 5 Federal Departments and 25 Federal Agencies with no support is fairy dust.
Not that he could ever get that far anyway; I really don’t see thousands of Federal workers in Virginia voting for him. He’s dead in Florida so between the two, he’ll be 42 EV down before the day begins.
I read the transcript and he said that between Hillary and Trump he will vote for Trump.
/WOW! Is this a fact? I may change my view on Perry, if so./
Not so much.
He seems to like executive orders...
anmakindeals...
In February 2007, Perry issued an executive order mandating that Texas girls receive the HPV vaccine, which protects against some strains of the human papilloma virus, a contributing factor to some forms of cervical cancer.[84] Following the move, news outlets reported various apparent financial connections between Perry and the vaccine’s manufacturer, Merck.[84][85] Merck’s political action committee has contributed $28,500 since 2001 to Perry’s campaigns.[86] The order was criticized by some parents and social conservatives, and a lawsuit was filed later that month.[87] In May 2007, the Texas Legislature passed a bill undoing the order; Perry did not veto the bill, saying the veto would have been overruled, but blamed lawmakers who supported the bill for the deaths of future cancer victims.[88]

Exactly. It seems that people read into things what they want. Same as Mike Pence - he didn’t endorse Cruz either - just said he’d vote for him. Rick just said he’d vote for Trump if he is the nominee against Hillary. Wow - people sure jump to conclusions. Now, I like Rick as a person, I just don’t agree with all is positions, but, I think he is a patriot who has served his country.
“At the End of the Day, Ill Vote for Trump”
That is all anyone is going to hear, or remember.
uh oh, I think I am wrong. That may be Kathy Lee Gifford but now I am not sure.
And the idea that you can go into DC and abolish 5 Federal Departments and 25 Federal Agencies with no support is fairy dust.

Cruz says he’ll abolish the IRS. He might would change the name but they would still be there.
Cruz often accuses Trump of making bold claims that he cannot keep. I believe Cruz has a bit of that problem too.
Not to worry, we here in Texas never took Perry serious either as a governor nor as a presidential candidate. He is the absolute classic example of the politician that has a chapped finger from having it stuck in the wind too long to see which direction the politlcal wind is blowing.
He is the quintesential example of a former democrat that claims to be a conservative republican.
This article is bogus. How many lying articles are you going to post? Perry endorsed Cruz, said he voted for Cruz and said he would vote for Trump if he was the nominee in the general election. There is no betrayal except yours.
The main point of this story should be that Perry is acknowledging that Trump will be the nominee, contrary to what Sen Cruz is saying.
More heads exploding tonight......LOL
I agree, 100%, with everything you said!
Much more than “a bit”; Teddy doesn’t have ANY understand of what a president can and can NOT do! He also LIES a LOT!
One of those Kathy Gifford
vice president would be better.
He really didn’t say anything other than he would support Trump if he is the nominee. That’s what the majority of lawmakers in DC have been saying for months now.
‘Trumps poll numbers will tank now, I tell ya!’
His poll numbers will get so low, he’ll need a lim-baugh bar to raise it.
