Thursday on Newsmax TVs The Steve Malzberg Show, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Judith Miller said Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is so disliked in the Senate, because he was not a man of his word, and would stab you in the back.
Miller said, Cruz was so disliked in the Senate, and Boehner was a charter member of that club. So, you could just see the politicians hated Cruz for reasons, by the way, that still have yet to be fully reported.

I don't buy the whole argument that these supporters prove anything about
Cruz . It says everything about how many people will do anything in their power to oppose Trump, however.
Not a year ago, anyone who would stand up to Boehner, oppose McConnell, refuse to be complicit with a do-nothing, get-along-with-Obama congress would be lauded here. Now, that person is viewed as an insider.

I liked Cruz and think is intelligent and conservative.
I am wary of how he works with Lindsey Graham, Romney, the Bushes and the big DC PACs.
I believe it is more complicated than simply being an insider or an outsider.

I was for Cruz, but have become cool of late (I don't like the desperation that he's been demonstrating). I think his "working" with Graham and others is more about the appearance of seeming to do so rather than any hard/fast reality. I know that's all it takes (leaving the impression), so it has become increasingly difficult to say anything to defend his actions (most of which I cannot). My gut tells me (and who are we to be listening to my gut) that Trump gets the nomination and loses the general and America, as we know it, ceases to be (yeah, a bit pessimistic there).

Look, if you think that the consensus of this community was arrived at without each and every one of us seeing Ted Cruz for ourselves, and deciding that he wasn't the best choice, then suit yourself.I still see people expressing support for him, but willing to vote for Trump if he's the nominee, so I don't really see "each and every one of us" having made that decision.
At this point Trump is the presumptive nominee and enjoys popular support. If his nomination is really a given then logically there isn't much point in continuing to attack Cruz. Except for human nature.
We're going to support Trump because he seems to be the best bet, but we've all been wrong before. Right now we're in uncharted waters - there really isn't any precedent for electing someone like Donald Trump to the office of President. We all want to "make America great again", and we all hope that Trump will be able to do that.
If it turns out we were wrong, it'll be an easier pill to swallow if we're convinced we really didn't have any other choice.

There are about 4 of you ankle biters left. Tuesday you are done with the Cruz love. Can’t wait for his suspended campaign speech.
