John Boehner once hired Ted Cruz to be his lawyer

Former House Speaker John Boehner ripped into Sen. Ted Cruz in a memorable fashion during a Wednesday appearance, prompting Cruz to say he "doesn't know" Boehner.

"I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life," Boehner said, dubbing Cruz "Lucifer in the flesh."

But a closer look at their history reveals the two weren't always enemies. In fact, long before Boehner saw Cruz as Lucifer, the 2016 Republican presidential candidate was actually his lawyer.

Both Boehner and Cruz are liars and pretenders.

I’ve had enough of them.

“I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life,...”

Speaking from experience, a “miserable son of a bitch” is sometimes exactly what you need in a lawyer. Maybe Boehner meant this as a compliment.

A desirable quality in your attorney. Not so much in a Presidential candidate.

If only Republicans would fight like this against the Dems. Sheesh we’d have a 50-state majority.

Mike Carvin and Ted Cruz represented Rep. John Boehner in a lawsuit against Rep. Jim McDermott, a Democrat who Boehner said leaked his cellphone conversations to the media.

Rafael was just on national TV; CBS News saying that he met John in passing 2 or 3 times. Rafael did not say that he worked as his legal team

>>I thought Cruz claimed to have barely spoken 50 words to Boehner....<<

I heard Cruz say that too and thought to myself, why don’t senators talk to each other? What’s wrong with these people? What do we pay them for? Shouldn’t they all be strategizing and working together on ways to get an agenda through?

Maybe I’m just naïve.

But he tells the truth about Cruz. Cruz is nasty. Today cruz said he hardly knew Boehner but was his lawyer? Lol. Cruz lives by that liar sign daily.

Yeah, why would you want to talk to a lawyer if you didn’t have to? I sure don’t...

Boehnar was in the House, Cruz in the Senate. 450 House Members, 100 Senators. I’m sure many don’t know each other and I’ll bet no one knows them all.

I’ve been at my company about 6 years. There are about 100 people in the office. There are a small handful who I don’t even know their names. Maybe 2-3 with whom I’ve ever interacted. A large number I know but know nothing about besides their name and maybe what they do.

unreal. i am sure the Jewish Sanhedrin thought Jesus was a son of a bitch too but being a son of a bitch doesn’t mean you have done things that are wrong, it often means you make them feel guilty or they want to do things they know you stand against. I don’t buy this—given what i have personally seen since Cruz came to town.

Why don’t all you Trump fans tell your kids to do whatever it takes to make sure no one ever dislikes them.

And while you are at it, it sure makes me wonder why, considering Trump has used eminent domain, made enemies in business deals (including in the university and Scotland), and has two ex-wives on which he cheated, why no one is talking. hmmmmm. non-disclosures? lawsuit threat? i am sure some of this will come out if he wins the nomination.
