...Ferrell will both star in and produce the film, aptly titled Reagan. The project has yet to find a director....
The film takes place during the former president's second term as he begins to suffer from dementia, at which point an intern is tasked with convincing Reagan he's an actor portraying the president in a film.

I wonder if they will make a movie about The One living it up in Vegas on a fundraising gig while Benghazi took place?
Totally agree. Reagan was the greatest President in my lifetime. Will is not funny, and this movie is an insult to everyone who has a loved one suffering from dementia.
I’ve never really gotten Ferrell’s appeal as a comic. To me he’s always been like the middle school class clown who never grew up.
Farrell has never been funny and never will be funny.
Much like Adam Sandler. Not funny and they both are the same person in every movie they do.
Incredibly insulting and downright vulgar.
One of the many reasons why I have never liked Will Ferrell.
There is nothing too low or too filthy for liberals.
They would be better off getting a top male porn star and Rosie O’donuts to play Bill and Hillary Clinton back in Bill’s presidential days.
Although Rosie may not be foul-mouthed and mean enough to do a convincing portrayal of Hillary any top male porn star could probably do a good job as Bill
Other top picks for supporting roles would be Joy Behar as Monica Lewinski, Harry Reid as Vince Foster, Barbara Streisand as Chelsea Clinton, Michael Moore as Al Gore and Whoopi Goldberg as Jesse Jackson.
There’s this three year period....2004 to 2007 where out of a dozen movies that he made...he actually made three or four fairly decent movies. But since 2007, out of eighteen productions that he was in...I can only think of one single decent movie....the rest are all a joke. Maybe good enough for HBO or the airline industry, but just aren’t movies which make much money.
When you look at the topic here....it’s a movie that will open on a Friday night, and close a week later, with limited profit for the local theater.
This is all reminiscent of the 1980s with Jim Varney who did a bunch of “Hey Vern” movies and just disappeared one day because people said they had enough. In the usual script of every Ferrell movie....he plays himself pretending to be someone else.
BOYCOTT the monstrosity if it ever makes it to theaters.
I hate the idea and all concerned.
ALL can go directly to Hell and the sooner the better.
Seriously.
FOAD ALL involved, particularly that horrid A-Hole Will Farrell.
I agree.
I can’t stand Sandler either.
I NEVER watch his stupid films and I’ve NEVER watched that horrid Ferrell.
My father-in-law had dementia for six years before he died. I shouldn’t have to say that this is not exactly a vehicle for comedy. Ferrell and the makers of this movie have bought their ticket to hell with this one.
Ferrell and the makers of this movie have bought their ticket to hell with this one.
They already had their tickets, they just upgraded to First Class is all.
I hope they enjoy the ride.
I don’t get him. He is only mildly funny.
What a sick freaking idea. I hope the universe in an ironic twist , sees fit to give Ferrell alzheimers.
My mother is in the last stages. As was our dear president R, in the mid 1990s. Mom sits and stares at the ceiling all day now. No thoughts. No awareness , less quality of life than my cat.
I pray to God that this movie is not made.
One of my dearest friends has dementia/Alzheimers & this past week, had to go into a facility. His family did their very best to keep him at home, but it became impossible for them to deal with. They visit every day & are making sure he’s getting quality care.
To make fun of dementia/Alzheimers in any form or fashion is in worse than very poor taste. Nancy Reagan called it the “long good-bye” and it is heart breaking to see the toll it takes, not only on the person who is afflicted, but the families that are affected as well. Shame on Hollyweird ... but they are so disgusting, it’s not a surprise they would do such a thing.
My dad had dementia and I’ve seen how that affected him. So, if Reagan had that during his second term, it must not have been that bad because I saw him give a campaign speech to support George Bush in Michigan and it was fantastic. I don’t think someone with dementia could have done that and done that so well.
If I said what I want to say I’d likely be arrested so I will remain quiet.
Making fun of someone with a serious disease is playing with fire. It has a way of boomeranging on the person that does it.
