The Mysterious Case of Ted Cruz PAC’s $1/2 Million ‘Donation’ to Help Carly Fiorina
Law Newz ^ | 4-27-16 | Rachel Stockman

Months ago, before the Republican race was whittled down to just three candidates, a very curious thing happened. Ted Cruz‘s super PAC ‘donated’ $500,000 to Carly Fiorina‘s super PAC. A few articles popped up at the time, and the Federal Election Committee even issued a letter asking the Cruz super PAC to better explain what the donation was for.

To be clear, a half a million dollars is not a small donation, and, at the time, it was the largest expense that the PAC had paid out. So why the heck would Cruz’s PAC hand over that kind of money in the midst of a heated campaign splintered with so many candidates? In an interview in October, Kellyanne Conway, president of Cruz’s PAC told CBS News, that they made the donation in June “because we thought she had important things to say that weren’t being heard.” She added, “we are all in for Ted Cruz for President.”

Do you seriously believe that a group that was pushing for Cruz to be president several months ago would want to help his rival, Carly Fiorina? That makes no sense.

This article was first published March 30, 2016 and has been discussed before, but no real answers have been forthcoming. Today's announcement by Ted Cruz brings it to light again.

Highlighted now on Drudge, but I realize not every looks at Drudge so am posting it here as well for discussion.

Yes it’s intriguing indeed. Was he paying off her debt so she could drop out of the race? Was he propping her up so that she’d lay the groundwork for anti-Trump sentiments with her comments? Time will tell.....

I thought it was visa versa. I thought Carly gave Cruz the money. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But, a half a mill can buy influence!

I’d heard that one of Carly’s high-level staffers was one of Cruz’ “other women”, and the money was given to Carly as hush money. Who knows? In any case, the transaction makes no sense at all if everything were on the up-and-up.

No, it was one of the KTP PACs that gave the money to Carly for America. Many speculated it was hush money after Sarah Isgur FLores, a Carly staff member, was identified as one of the (alleged) Cruz mistresses by the National Enquirer.

Cara Sneed was never a beautiful girl...but I have to think a lot of expensive cosmetic surgery has not served her well.

UH OH! Federal Election Commission wants to know why Cruz super PAC gave half a million dollars to Carly Fiorina

As per the norm with the Ted Cruz campaign, there appears to be some shady practices taking place. This time surrounding the newly made announcement of Carly Fiorina as his potential running mate, IF a miracle were to happen, and he was able to somehow swindle the GOP nomination from Donald Trump.

cbsnews.com reports: Super PACs are legally allowed to give money to other super PACs - they are only prohibited from donating directly to any political campaign. But it’s unusual for one of these groups to give money to an opponent, especially when the candidate it supports is still in the race.

“Keep the Promise I made the donation in June to Ms. Fiorina at that time because we thought she had important things to say that weren’t being heard, including her poignant and effective criticism of Mrs. Clinton, at the time, the likely Democratic nominee,” Kellyanne Conway, president of Keep the Promise I told CBS News in an email.

“However,” she added, “We are all in for Ted Cruz for President, as our current activities demonstrate, and will continue to support him and his message all the way to the White House.”

It can’t be because of her staff person working for her while sleeping with Cruz, now could it? hmmmmm

Somebody put that half a mil into Ted’s pocket. He didn’t pay her that nice bundle all by himself. What was Dr. Who aka Glenn Beck doing then?

I agree. This is the only logical explanation. She must have something really serious on him.

The timing is what is really suspicious, this transfer was made so early in the primary season that Crus and Fiorina were still very much opponents with low poll rankings, so why would one help the other?

And they also knew that all transactions were public and that this would come to light and that they’d have to explain it. One explanationj is that it was an emergency situation where the girl was ready to spill the beans and they just threw caution to the winds to shut her up. Pure specualtion on my part...
