I am waiting for someone to explain how this thread helps Trump beat Hillary in November? Cruz and Company are done - but his conservative message is not. We need everyone on board the Trump train to take out crooked Hillary.

You still don’t get it, Cruz is and has been a ‘conservative’ fraud. He is just another lawyer/politician elitist in a grass roots disguise. Every day, every interview Cruz has shown his true colors.

We need a lot of healing on this forum, imho. Way too many of us in our zeal on both sides have been all too ready with the put-downs and insults. It is admirable that we all have that zeal, but it is also very important that most of us also have the ability to temper that zeal. And we should.
My favorite analogy between Cruz and Trump has been the purebred greyhound vs a junk yard dog. The ideal is to have a purebred greyhound, but I’ve fallen into the camp that sees our perimeter is threatened. The beautiful prize-winning greyhound will bark and make a show, and even do his best in a fight, while the ugly battle scarred junk yard dog will flat get it done. At least that is the sincere hope. Sometimes the need of the hour defines what instrument and, no other, is needed.
I join you in your appeal for ALL of us to refocus our energy on the democrats and the destructive policies which have been in place for decades. We have a yuuuuge fight in front of us! And each of us is vastly important to the victorious outcome.
While I have been a Trump supporter from the beginning, I deeply respect my FRiends who are seeking to hold us to that more pure conservative standard. WE STILL NEED THAT!!! .... balanced with practicality in what can be achieved at a given moment.
Above all we must unite. Invective does not have a place in that process.
With all due respect, it really gripes me to have someone trash Trump supporters for being critical of Tead and his supporters.
This forum will return to normal when the flights of fantasy that fed the Cruz hit squads here return to normalcy.
None of the Trump folks here have it in for the Ted people. We’ve just had enough of a man that was mathematically eliminated a week ago, and yet his people are just as nasty as they have been for months on end.
They still have this pipe dream that Tead will somehow pull it out at the convention.
When that kind of talk here ends, you’ll not see one Trump person continue the war, I guarantee it.

We have a campaign to wage against Hillary. It’s up to you when we can focus on her solely, and until then we’re going to be very cantankerous.

If you are a Cruz supporter this thread would seem harsh I agree with you. But we do love Cruz supporters. They are good and honorable people. Cruz became his undoing. I think his supporters see that and understand.
As long as Cruz and his crew are in the race, he should be viewed as an opponent with questionable motives. And this opponent clearly has bad intent if he remains a contender. Otherwise he wouldn't stay in a race he can't win. I'm confident Trump feels sees it this way too.
Cruz has explicitly stated that he is staying in the race in the hopes of a contested convention. That is exactly what the Dems and GOPe want. Cruz deserves everything thrown at him at this point.
