After tonight, when Trump is going to wind up right around 1000 delegates... any argument that there will be a contested convention is just folks living in denial.

Giuliani did some great things as mayor for NYC. I would not support him for president but would love to see him back as mayor as the city has gone downhill a bit since he left.

As for Cruz, he is politically dead to me. He has stabbed conservatives in the back by getting in bed with the Bushes and Kasich and other establishment GOPe hacks. His blind ambition has caused him to cast his conservative credentials aside - if he ever had them in the first place. His small-ball attempts to manipulate the delegate selection process sickens me as well.

Spoken like a true NYC liberal buddy of the Donald for over 20 years.

I know that...

Cruz backers have to just accept its over... If Trump is around 1000 delegates tonight which is where he will wind up, that means he’s only got to win 54% of the remaining delegates EVEN IF CRUZ WERE TO TAKE 100% of INDIANA.. which by the way he won’t, he won’t win IN, let alone get all the delegates.

Add Indiana to the mix and Trump only needs to win 49% of the remaining delegates. Trump is going to do either of these scenarios easily.

In other words, Cruz is acting like a typical attorney. I have dealt with lawyers for over 20 years and Cruz has the lawyer disease. Fighting for nothing at all just for the sake of fighting. That is so typical lawyer behavior.

There is a saying amongst lawyers that when you have no defense you start pounding on the table about nothing at all. That’s Cruz.

You are correct in that he changed his position. Before he said he would support him IF he was the GOP candidate.

I just watched the video and Hannity pressed Rudy on his previous weak "endorsement." That's when he cleared it up calling this a 100% endorsement.

Great video, BTW.

I now think he did mean he endorsed him. It just came across as a weak endorsement.

He cleared that matter up nicely.

The longer Cruz stays in this the more damage he does to himself. I liked him in the beginning of the process but now he is nothing more then a lowlife politician. I lost all respect for him. This kasich suck up is just another nail in his coffin.

I really think someone in the GOPe, maybe Carly, has got the goods on Ted. Or Ted is not half as bright as people think he is.

Hillary has way to much baggage and Trump will easily trip her up and Americans will begin to understand way too much about her that has been glossed over by the MSM and the cozy political class.

Yes! As I posted in another thread, earlier this morning:

"He has also ignored the Commandment, not to bear "false witness." But the claim that Donald Trump is pro-abortion because he recognizes that it would be an outrage to sacrifice the hopes of an innocent girl, who has been raped, by forcing her to bear the rapist's baby, is not only bearing false witness. It illustrates a myopic obsession with only one individual's interest; an obsessive denial of the legitimate rights of an innocent girl in the situation.

"Let me put the campaign another way. Ted Cruz started out as a legitimate Conservative; like I, a true strict constructionist. Many of us looked forward last year, to Ted helping educate the voters on the what, whys and how of the Constitution. But it has not been.

"He has gotten more and more clearly side-tracked; more and more obsessive over misrepresenting his opponents' positions--thus more and more into errant hypocrisy, when he pretends to still be true to his avowed Faith and the Conservative positions, we expected him to champion.

"The fall of Ted Cruz is truly an immense disappointment to many of us who now enthusiastically back Donald Trump. If Ted will simply desist; stop the misrepresentations; abandon the flashes of obsessive myopia; I am sure many of us here, will be willing to welcome him back as an ally in future campaigns. But forget about Cruz in 2016. It is over for him; and he has no one to blame but himself."

Trump will cross the finish line in spite of starting in a race with 17 candidates - that is winning by any definition.

I am sure that the holy Cruzlim book, the Cruzan, has a different definition of winning so expect that the zombi Cruzhadis will continue to make plans until long after Trump’s 2nd term.

Cruz and Kasich are in the last moments of their campaigns. After tonight neither has any excuse to continue. If they do not get out the voter backlash on both of them will start in earnest.

With Cruz's history, why would Kasick EVER believe that he could trust Cruz to hold up his end of the deal? True to form, he'd be emailing us about his "strategic campaign maneuver" and grabbing all the later votes he could.

That's my best guess.
