The fallacy in Rush’s argument regarding the 2nd ballot delegates is that Trump’s delegates will leave him, but Cruz’s delegates will stay with him.
What-if-ery: The Cruz and/or Kasich and/or Rubio delegates decide to go with a winner and switch over to Trump and Trump ends up with 1400 delegates.
Until the next few primaries are over, everyone can play the what-if-ery game every day.
This ‘thing’ he’s got about inventing people who are saying things against his positions and arguing back against them to prove he is right is really getting a little old.
Rush saying Cruz-Kasich alliance is already unraveling.... scuse me if I am smiling ear to ear.
I believe Rush is 100% for Cruz
Rush is doing a good job of trying to mask his all out support/endorsement of Cruz.

Rush was making an example if Trump didn’t get the nomination on the first ballot. He picked some numbers out of thin air. Actually only thin for Trump not so much for Cruz.
I hope I get the numbers right, close anyway, I can’t remember exactly. You can check the transcript later.
He said, if Trump doesn’t get the 1237 on the first ballot, let’s say he gets 1150? Then on the second ballot Ted Cruz gets 1240? Boy is there going to be hell to pay from the Trumpers. Something like that.
Let’s look at his “thin air” numbers. Trump misses the mark by 87 votes. Yet, Cruz wins by 3 votes. According to Rush, this would be perfectly legal, by the RULES. Cruz would have outsmarted Trump and deserves the win.
What if Trump misses 1237 by 3 votes, 1234. How FAIR would that be if Cruz wins on the second ballot?
1. Rush said hey, it’s just the rules. It’s always been this way.
2. If delegates were pledged to their candidates forever, how would you resolve it if no one got 1237?

1. Maybe so, BUT the point is that now that voters are finding out that this is how it is, THEY DON’T LIKE IT!
And finding out JUST NOW that it has ALWAYS been this way, makes them even madder that the Republican Party has been duping them all this time. That they have been treating primary voters like mushrooms, keeping them in the dark and feeding them bull$hit.
2.a Do away with the whole delegate idea. Let the votes of the people speak for themselves. Simple.
2.b Get rid of the arbitrary 1237 number. Whoever gets the most votes wins. Even if by ONE vote. (In my small town the top town position of Supervisor, was won in TWO different election years by just ONE vote).
2.c Delegates hash it out AT THE CONVENTION. Delegates horse trading, cajoling, persuading, other delegates to come over to their side. I say again AT THE CONVENTION.
None of this PRE-convention buying and stealing of delegate votes by candidates.
Well, these are the rules and that’s how it’s always been.
People used to say similar things about SLAVERY and women voting.
The point is, THE RULES SUCK. The system is RIGGED.
AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!
