Three marijuana growing operations have been discovered near the houses where a family of 8 was murdered execution style in rural Ohio.
While the drug trafficking has not been publicly singled out as a motive by authorities nor have they publicly mentioned cartels or organized crime, investigators have called the murders a complex operation.
This was a pre-planned execution of eight individuals, it was a sophisticated operation, said Ohio Attorney General Mike Devine in a televised interview aired by Fox News. Those who carried it out did everything they could to hinder the investigation and their prosecution.

Victimless crime
Mexicans murdering folks is not a reason to make weed legal.
It’s a reason to excrete all Mexicans from our country.
“Those who carried it out did everything they could to hinder the investigation and their prosecution.”
I do not condone murder at all, but that statement above is so stupid. Does this jerk think a murderer would purposely leave clues to help an investigation and prosecution, or would they do their best to keep it clean?
Guess the perps failed to leave their wallets behind on accident. Or wore gloves to not leave prints.
Likely a case of cartels moving into an area where pot was a family business.
These things ONLY exist because of prohibition on a plant anyone can grow. Prohibition causes these weeds to be worth more than GOLD and inevitably creates a violent black market.
If you let American farmers and legal stores sell it, you wouldn’t have violence over pot. Just like bootleggers stopped shooting right after alcohol prohibition was over.
[victimless crime]
Outrageous of you to say that.
All we need is for the drug lords to agree to carefully separate the loads of cocaine, heroin, meth, prostitutes and illegal aliens from the pure and innocent marijuana shipments. Once the drug lords make that common-sense accounting distinction, pot zombification will spread peacefully throughout the American population.
Meanwhile, in Colorado, tax revenue is up and crime is down.
Number of murders over marijuana: 0.
Total BS. Organized crime moves in on any market they can. Union Labor in the NE, “Waste management” nearly nation wide, trucking, gambling, alcohol, etc.
Legalizing pot will make it worse, not better. It will also vastly increase demand, which gangs and cartels will gladly fill. Prescription drugs are legal, so why are they sold illegally?
I don’t think the Cartels hit squad take the time to beat someone to death, or allow anyone to survive. IMHO, this was to personal.
Sounds like a recent episode of Bates Motel.
This incident proves once again that the biggest drawback of entering into a life of crime is that your business associates are very untrustworthy.
“Meanwhile, in Colorado, tax revenue is up and crime is down.”
Since 2012, the year when Colorado voters passed recreational marijuana legalization, the number of crimes in Denver has grown by about 44 percent
“Victimless crime”
I think we call his statement sarcasm
Its a reason to excrete all Mexicans from our country."
As long as the cartels use their "legit" money laundering front companies to finance our political campaigns it ain't going to happen.
“Number of murders over marijuana: 0.”
Proof please
I figured from the get that some type of dope was involved.
I believe the opposite is true. Do you have a reference?
