Since the publication of Time‘s recent cover story “The Transgender Tipping Point,” there has been a spate of conservative op-eds in retort, including ones featured in the Chicago Sun-Times and the Wall Street Journal, and online on conservative websites such as The Federalist. The attacks follow a predictable set of talking points that rely on the reader having no scientific knowledge of the issue. However, when examined from a perspective of peer-reviewed medical consensus and law, these talking points fail utterly.

We have entered the world of lunacy where we are forced to entertain a minute amount of humans who dont now what they are. How fn crazy are we?
Be that as it may, opinion pieces like this one call for solid consideration and refutation.
Just off the top of my head, I’d like to ask the author exactly what was the physiological cause of people to grown into one sex if they had what he implies is dispositive proof of them having genes and chromosomes of the opposite sex.
Males have XY chromosomes.
Females have XX chromosomes.
Bruce Jenner is a male, no matter how many body parts he cuts or distorts or tucks or how many chemicals he injects into his body.
Period.
Full stop.
End of story.
For a society that somehow thinks of itself as educated and scientific, we sure have found a way to pervert PERCEPTION over REALITY.
Maybe we have to start putting signs on Bathrooms: "XX" chromosomes and "XY" chromosomes.
Unless you have complete androgen-insensitivity syndrome (CAIS), or 5-alpha-reductase deficiency, or Swyer syndrome, or genetic mosaicism, or 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase III deficiency, or progestin-induced virilisation, or prenatal exposure to diethylstilbestrol, or any of a wide range of endocrine-based variations that cause a person person to have chromosomes that don’t match their primary sexual characteristics or gender identity.Do you have a cogent response?
This is what happens when:
A) Liberals get trans-genders eliminated from the list of recognized mental illness because they seized control of academia back in the 70’s, and
B) Liberal control the language and can use that power to define what is legitimate and illegitimate in terms of arguing simple public policy.
If we can’t win this debate it’s totally over for America.
I agree, and we’re already behind with this one.
What worries me most is that we’ll sit back incredulous that someone could make such arguments instead of confuting them.
But the listed conditions are rare ILLNESSES, not remotely normal human conditions.
Any business which tells me that their bathrooms are open to any gender .. will never get my business - even online.
And .. I most certainly will never allow any grandchild of mine to be in a public bathroom by themselves.
In the San Diego area, one young girl has now been attacked and KILLED .. pounced upon by several of the opposite sex.
PARENTS: DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO ENTER ANY PUBLIC BATHROOM WITHOUT YOU.

A reflection of one’s self-image as relating to sexual nature. There are, in general, three genders:
1) Male
2) Female
3) Something you made up one day to feel speshul. E.g. “semiqueer-bi-spirit-shemale”. May use made-up pronouns such as “xe”, “ze”, “schlee”, “nflgsufgshuihousu”, etc. Anyone who finds this ridiculous is a bigot and is literally Hitler.
The left is not happy enough feminizing boys. It also wants to sentence them to a lifetime of gender confusion.
