Donald Trump tailored his pitch to the citizens of Delaware on Friday, praising the tiny mid-Atlantic state’s status as a tax shelter and at one point sharing a story about calling his credit-card company to find out whether it employed people in India.

"I know almost as much as the people in Delaware about banking," Trump boasted at a rally in Harrington, a small town south of the capital Dover, on Friday afternoon.

Trump said he had 378 corporate entities registered in the state, "meaning I pay you a lot of money, folks. I don’t feel guilty."

"I spend a fortune in Delaware. No one knows it," he said.

What sort of "sliding scale" does Donald have in mind for the Ameriquest/Argent Mortgage execs who owned a significant interest in the Indian firm they outsourced their ASAP laundry to? (ASAP was supposed to be a mortgage origination system written from the ground up and intended to replace EMPOWER)

The numbers I heard were in the neighborhood of half a billion dollars.

When the Argent Empower(tm) team got absorbed into the Ameriquest building, we thought we found ASAP - a giant cockroach with all six legs pointing at the ceiling in a corner of the kitchen where the above picture was proudly hanging on the wall.

Between the slight delay, the accents and the unnecessarily elaborate sentences, it is very difficult to understand people from Indian call centers. I don’t doubt that they’re speaking proper English but it’s hard to solve a tech problem or get an account straightened out when you just cannot follow what they’re saying. I’m always relieved to get kicked up the food chain and hear a nasal upper Midwest twang, a southern drawl or anything that I can process and understand upon first hearing it. Does that make me a bad person? I don’t think so, I just want to get it done and over with. Language barriers prevent that.

wow that’s sad. late to the thread. when I was a kid Rehoboth Beach, DE and Ocean City, MD were the places to go for a nice one-day vacation (I grew up in Bethesda).
