Sen. Ted Cruzs wipeout in the New York primary, while expected, nevertheless rattled many Republican insiders and activists who did not foresee the magnitude of the defeat. Is Cruz crumbling? Was Wisconsin an anomaly? The Cruz campaign set itself up, sending the candidate to campaign for days in New York and suggesting that Cruz could pick off congressional districts. He didnt, and worse, came in third. Expectations should have been kept low. Really low.
Just as they recovered from New York, anti-Trump Republicans looked up to see a batch of polls from the states that will be voting on April 26. Trump is ahead by a healthy margin in all of them. Gulp. Trump is winning by 18 points in one California poll. According to another report, Cruz is tied in two Indiana polls and behind in one. Yikes.

Cruz is beyond crumbling. He’s entered Black Knight territory.
Cruz lost because his campaign was a catalogue of the kinds of political tactics that have reduced our elections to a mockery of representation.
Ludicrous. If anything it is long time Clinton supporter DT who is out to stop Cruz or any other republican and get Clinton in the office. Don’t forget, Soros bailed out DT in Chicago. He is owned.
“The Convention Could Very Well Prove to Be a RUN-OFF Election That Trump Could Very Well LOSE”

Sometimes these things write themselves....
“Moses never made it to the promised land, either.”
I knew Moses, and you Senator are NO Moses.
(Wander around back to Canada.)
“Soros bailed out DT in Chicago. He is owned.”
I did not know this.
Trump has been watching his back since June 16, 2015.
“There will be similar folks who will be rattled & surprised at the magnitude of Trumps LANDSLIDE DEFEAT to Hillary in the November election in spite of the numerous polls foretelling of that landslide.”
Yeah! Just look at what happened to Reagan in 1980....he should have looked at all the polls calling it for Carter!!!!!!
lolololol
LOL — Trump = Reagan ONLY IN YOUR FEVERED IMAGINATION.
Who wants to back a loser?
“LOL Trump = Reagan ONLY IN YOUR FEVERED IMAGINATION.”
I was comparing the situations not the men, but of course you knew that.
OK fellow, drop the Cruz Cool Ade.....its over.
In any tense I pray to God he’s crumbling.
“Trummp/Rubio is whats shaping up.”
If it comes to that so be it. Maybe that is one of the paths for Trump that is being talked about.
“Cruz lost because his campaign was a catalogue of the kinds of political tactics that have reduced our elections to a mockery of representation.”
Now Elmer Gantry is trying to dictate the delegates in Maine. What a sleaze ball.
Nothing to be gained by choosing Robot Rubio. He is a total empty suit, unable to handle his Senate job, not a nbc, lost his own home state, and during at least one debated acted like an immature creep.
Sorry, but not only are not the men comparable, the 1980 “situation” is not the same as the 2016 situation.
Clobber Cruz Close the Convention
Big names back Trump tower
Soros, Deutsche Bank said to be in on 90-story building
October 28, 2004|By Thomas A. Corfman, Tribune staff reporter.
Donald Trump has lined up three New York hedge funds, including money from billionaire George Soros, to invest $160 million in his Chicago skyscraper, a key piece in perhaps the largest construction financing in the citys history, according to real estate sources and public documents.
Despite reports about the projects record-breaking sales, most of them from Trump himself, many Chicago real estate developers and lenders have expressed doubts about whether the 90-story tower would ever be built.

As for his party affiliation...whatever...
Donald Trump changed political parties at least five times: report

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump switched political party affiliations at least five times since the late 80s, according to voting records obtained by The Smoking Gun.
Mr. Trump, who after years of teasing the idea announced on Tuesday his GOP bid for the White House, may soon have to answer for why he left the party as recently as 2011.
Mr. Trump registered for the first time in New York as a Republican in July 1987, only to dump the GOP more than a decade later for the Independence Party in October 1999, according to the New York City Board of Elections. [He testified against Reagan’s taxes and FOR credit easing for real estate — did he help create the bubble? he donated $1k to Dodd but probably offered hotel, country club golf and wrote it off his taxes—who paid for that?]

In August 2001, the billionaire enrolled as a Democrat. Eight years later, he returned to the Republican Party, The Smoking Gun reported.
After only two years as a registered Republican, Mr. Trump left the party again, and in December 2011 marked a box that indicated, I do not wish to enroll in a party.
Mr. Trump returned to the GOP in April 2012, The Smoking Gun reported.
____________ Why? why switch back? Obama... The only thing that really made sense besides the fact that golf membership is down, casinos are all closed, and no one takes vacations...
BEING HUMILIATED
I did find an article that explains his motivation for running...as a republican this time. If he isnt nominated he will run 3rd party, or quit. Probably 3rd party. He couldnt become a member of the Constitution party.
Judging by his petulance on the 2016 campaign trail, the easiest explanation is that Trump broke with the Democrats because he was peeved at the titular head of the Democratic Party. His pattern of donations changed markedly during Barack Obamas second term as president. This change actually began a year earlier and it coincides with the 2011 White House Correspondents Association dinner. Trump was a guest, and listened as the president made fun of Trumps hair, his supposedly garish architectural taste, and his fixation with Obamas birth certificate.
The Donald kept up a tight smile as this roasting went on, but his expression froze in pique when the entertainer who followed Obama kept piling on. Donald Trump often talks about running as a Republican, which is surprising, said comedian Seth Meyers. I just assumed he was running as a joke.
watch if you can...I get a headache every time...

Seth joyner is awful...But a lot like DT’s campaign. Now I know who is giving DT his adjectives!

I am not worried about a career government employee crumbling.
“the 1980 situation is not the same as the 2016 situation.”
They re in the aspect that the Media arm of the Democrat Party was projecting a “landslide” victory for the Democrat.
For that matter you can’t compare your hero Cruz with Reagan either. Starting with Reagan was eligible having met the NBC requirement, while Cruz is the Canadian born son of a Castro loving Cuban it goes rapidly downhill from there.
Both Reagan and Trump love(d) their country. Cruz and Hillary love themselves. Big difference. 1980 and 2016 are more alike then you think.
Look for him to come in third in a number of races next Tuesday. Cruz will still claim it is a two man race. Time to get out and unite the party behind Trump. Let Kasich tilt at windmills.
