Donald Trump says transgender people should be able to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate." On NBC's Today show Thursday morning, the GOP front-runner said he opposes North Carolina's "very strong" bathroom bill, which allows businesses to prohibit transgender people from doing just that.
"North Carolina did something that was very strong and they're paying a big price. And there's a lot of problems." Trump said.

It is a whole lot easier, then, to do YOUR JOB as a parent and accompany your daughter into the restroom.
Perhaps you are male. But I have run into dozens of dads over the years who were waiting in the restroom for their little girls to exit the stalls.
Don’t ask the gov’t to do the job you’re supposed to do. I didn’t with my kid.
As it should be: genital-appropriate segregation, and discretely tolerate those who discretely are trying to do the right thing as their own sanity or confusion dictates.
Problem is the confused, and their sympathizers, are trying to LEGISLATE the tolerance, crushing other issues and harming far more people in the process.
And yes, public protest is starting: my wife is outraged, and our family will no longer go to Target; I’ve already given notice to Target and other companies providing in-store services (CVS, Starbucks).
And he'll let her whip it out in the Ladies room!
The press is engineering a “squirrel” moment.
Don’t vote based on immigration, trade, or terrorism policy.
Cast your vote for president based on national bathroom policy.
I was willing to go with Trump so long as he stayed firm on Second Amendment and Immigration.
The third most important issue to me was a grasp of reality.
Reality is men in mens showers, women in womens showers. Trump just discarded reality.
Cannot follow.
What did he say that was wrong?
That it would cost fortunes to build special bathrooms?
That is would be expensive to enforce these pecker laws?

If policy is to let males into the women’s room, seems I will have to accompany her. A whole lotta women aren’t going to like that.
Trump revealed many liberal positions far before this latest one. Some/many chose to totally ignore them because they want to "win".
Trump has been firm on the second amendment, he was pro gun control but not anymor.
Security cameras mounted on the entrance to public restrooms that way any offender can be identified. Surprised this has not been done already. Store security can monitor anyone entering or leaving the restrooms.

You contradicted yourself in the span of one sentence.
So far today this has been Trump on the issues:
1) Pro-dudes in women’s restrooms with your wives, moms, sisters, and daughters.
2) Raise taxes on the “rich.”
3) Amend the GOP platform to be pro-killing.
Again, which party is he running for the nomination of again?

When he says “leave it the way it is”, he is referring to allowing men in the ladies room.
