Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Thursday said front-runner Donald Trump had defied “common sense” and embraced political correctness by coming out against North Carolina’s law barring people from using public restrooms of the opposite sex.
“He said he thought men should be able to go into the girls bathroom if they want,” scoffed Mr. Cruz, a U.S. senator from Texas. “Let me ask you, have we going stark raving mad? This is political correctness. This is nonsense.”

Trump’s got a really stupid position on this one.
Mr. Trump, read, “It is not a constitutionally federal issue - stay put of it - it is a state’s issue.”
No, it's not a distraction and is isn't something that can be ignored. The true Trump spoke here and he needs to be held accountable.
This is a situation where we disagree with a politician on some issues. I definitely disagree with Trump on this but it’s not a deal-breaker for me.
But, then again, I'm not in favor of pervs peeing next to little BOYS either.
So, what's a normal guy to do?
That’s the real trick: Cruz takes these “brave” stands for the people, but there’s nothing behind it. He practically broke an ankle running to get a photo-op with Kim Davis, and then shrugged and said nothing can be done about gay marriage because it is the “law of the land.”
He also took brave stands against Feinstein, Sierra club, Mitch, and Planned Parenthood, but NOTHING HAPPENED. Dummies cheered, but they are all still doing business as usual.
Ted’s a mess.

Social hot button issues have always been a distraction. bathroom access is not the hill to die on. Trump answered the question in a politically adroit way and it is now a non issue for him.
Remember when Trump was attacked by Cruz because Trump stated he would punish women who had an abortion? Would Cruz jail transgender people for using a public the bathroom? Imagine the outrage that would happen if he said yes. If he won't punish them then what's the point?
When Obama ran in 2008 he pretended to be Mr. Centrist, Stovepipe hat wearing incarnation of Abe Lincoln. But, if you really listened to him, one could understand that he was really going to be a hard core Progressive...
Same thing going on with Trump...he slips up from time to time and everyone must understand that in his core he is a Liberal...this is a result of spending 66 years of his life as a Democrat in NYC...
Many people will be disappointed when he morphs away rom his new-found Conservatism!

Transgendered folks have always existed (this has been largely considered a mental problem, btw) but unless they have some sort of biological problem...they have always taken a tinkle!
You mad that some dude might roll into a female restroom and show his “junk?” I am. Well, it has happened before and it will happen again. We have laws on the books to deal with perverts like this, already.
Maybe you’re worried that the unthinkable happens: some nut heads into the girls room and assaults some kid. I am. Btw, it has happened before and it will happen again. We have bigger, badder laws on the books to take care of this bastard.
It is foolish for a state to draw this kind of untoward attention to itself, when it already has the laws to deal with any issues. Moreover, smart legislators would move to strengthen those laws covering any matters involving inappropriate behavior in public restrooms and make sure the whole world knows it.
One more thing, ladies...the 2nd amendment belongs to you and your daughters, too!
