JimRob, I’m afraid that I can’t agree with you on this. The single greatest force tearing apart the Republican party right now is, in fact, Donald J. Trump. We don’t need a president who whines about a “rigged system” when things don’t go his way (when in fact, it’s been rigged in his favor, so far). We need a president who pays attention, leads, and does what is necessary to get the job done.
I do believe that Trump has done the nation a service with his campaign, in many ways. I also believe that he would be far, far better for the country than Bernie or Hilary, and I will vote for him if he is the nominee. But the fact of the matter is that he has not yet won the nomination. Until yesterday, I don’t believe that he had won a majority in any primary (even though the “rigged system” gave him all the delegates in several of them).
I keep hearing that a contested convention will “tear the country apart”- please... at most it will entertain political junkies like us. After the convention will be the time to unite behind the nominee, but, for now, the fight is still on.
Remember- in January of 1942, Europe was overrun, most of our Navy in the pacific was under water, and things were looking grim for England and the U.S.. We didn’t give in- we fought with bravery, determination, and a long-range vision. *That’s* what I want to see in my presidential nominee- and that’s only clear when the contest is over.
The single greatest force tearing apart the Republican party right now is

the fact that they are actively working against their own voters. They are completely committed to the suicidal open borders/amnesty agenda.
The citizens want enforcement.
The thwart us at every turn.
Why do you care about the political party that hates your guts about as much as the other political party?
The RINO-infested republican party is in serious need of an exterminator. It’s going to be interesting to see how it’s cleaned up if we can.
It is rigged when people don’t even get to vote and the local party bosses are the only ones who have a say. It’s expensive to be a delegate, even a state delegate. So I guess you don’t find a system where people can be bribed for their votes and people who are busy earning a living can’t vote.
Cruz superPAC gave Carly $500,000 to keep her going to attack Trump. I think it is a very rigged system.
Granted Cruz is playing the delegate gathering better than Trump, but it’s an unethical system and Cruz doesn’t have a problem with it. Reminds me of the way DC works. Lobbyists wine & dine our DC politicians to get what they want.
Excellent points. And by the way, Ted Cruz won more actual votes in Wisconsin than Trump did in New York.
Quote: Donald J. Trump got fewer votes in New York than I got in Wisconsin, and yet the delegate rules give Donald many more delegates for winning New York than I got for winning Wisconsin You dont hear me up here complaining and whining. Ted Cruz
