Cruz: I'm an outsider like Sanders
CBS News ^ | April 19, 2016 | Alan He

"I'm so excited to share with you what America has learned over the past few months. And it has nothing to do with a politician winning his home state tonight," Cruz said without offering any congratulations.

The Texas Senator spoke at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, the site of President Obama's speech 2008 on race and referenced the then freshman Senator famous "yes we can" slogan multiple times.

"Our sitting president ran on a slogan that should have been a great first step," Cruz said. "It promised us, 'yes we can.' Now it is time to take that slogan and put it into action."
.
.
.
In his speech, Cruz described the 2016 election as "the year of the outsider" comparing himself to Bernie Sanders. "I am an outsider, Bernie Sanders is an outsider. Both with the same diagnosis, but both with very different paths to healing," Cruz told the audience. That's a point that he makes occasionally at town halls but a departure from the usual Cruz speech.

Okay. Good points. He’s a lawyer. We need a person that understands what it takes to get the economy roaring.

Cruz is the only candidate in either party to win ZERO delegates. Guess Priebus, Walker, and Ryan just dont have much jazz outside of Wisconsin.

That’s the only joke so far that he managed to get a few laughs at least.

Anyway, I get it. He was talking about his outhouse he uses at Green Acres. He’s an outsider when he takes a crap. Before being declared the anointed Divine King by his dad, he was Mr. Haney and he was telling folks lately , “he he... I’m an outsider! I crap outside, me and the ol’ moon cabin on Green Acres back in the day...”

Funny, Ted, funny.

Was a great speech. Obviously done for TV commercials by his SuperPac. Great uplifting speech.

Thanks for providing a genuine illustration as to why there is no longer lead in household paint.

I hope you were able to be compensated in a class action suit against the paint maker.

You poor thing.

You are absolutely correct. Building $500,000,000 skyscrapers requires sound business acumen in a wide variety of disciplines, and enormous management skills.

Yes, and for what it's worth, Trump's degree from Wharton was in Economics, he attended a military prep school so he has an understanding of the military chain of command, respect, accountability, etc.

All of those skills, plus his drive, has allowed him to achieve incredible business success.

This country needs a business man. We got into this mess with lawyers and ignorant, empty suit, bull-shit politicians.

When I went to school, we had to take a study course in Mises, as well as Macro and Micro economics.

We all wondered whay the hell for? My degree is in Diesel Engineering, Marine.

But, that aside, it was really interesting. Few people know the difference between Micro and Macro economics. Micro teaches the nuts and bolts of econmics. Macro is basically the way you word your views on the economics. That is why they really get to listening when the fed starts talking about rates in the banking system.
Mises was the foundation for economics in a free capitalists market place.

If I remember correctly. BTW, we all failed the study course..LOL. Was one hell of a mutiny that one.
