"I'm so excited to share with you what America has learned over the past few months. And it has nothing to do with a politician winning his home state tonight," Cruz said without offering any congratulations.
The Texas Senator spoke at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, the site of President Obama's speech 2008 on race and referenced the then freshman Senator famous "yes we can" slogan multiple times.
"Our sitting president ran on a slogan that should have been a great first step," Cruz said. "It promised us, 'yes we can.' Now it is time to take that slogan and put it into action."

In his speech, Cruz described the 2016 election as "the year of the outsider" comparing himself to Bernie Sanders. "I am an outsider, Bernie Sanders is an outsider. Both with the same diagnosis, but both with very different paths to healing," Cruz told the audience. That's a point that he makes occasionally at town halls but a departure from the usual Cruz speech.

Trump presidential, Ted Cruz not so much!
Sanders is an insider like Clinton, like Kasich, like you, Ted.
Your should all be in federal prison with the rest of your current and former gang members in CONgre$$.
Trump has a business mind. Cruz does not. Matter of fact, I am wondering if Cruz has a mind at all at this point.
This country is on the very edge of economic calamity. Last thing we need is a Cruz who doesnt understand economics at all. And, of course, there are those that will say he can bring the econmic experts into his office, the question is, who will they be working for? The elites or the American citizens?
looks like Trump gonna get 90+ delegates in NY.
Cruz....zero
“Who you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?”
“Ted” Cruz
Hasn’t Sanders been in Congress something like 34 years?
yeh, Ted’s THAT kind of outsider alright.
Cruz has been a career politician since he graduated from Harvard. Another lyin lawyer career politician. Suck it Cruz.
“And it has nothing to do with a politician winning his home state tonight,” Cruz said without offering any congratulations.”
How interesting. Cruz’s campaign manager Jeff Roe seemed to think it was important for Trump to win his home state of NY by a margin bigger than Cruz won in Texas.
You guys remember this?

Lol - that night, when I heard Trump say that - I was like ‘how shrewd - the psy-ops - if you read it again - you can see that Trump is mocking Cruz. He’s saying that Cruz had to ‘fight hard’ - in Cruz’ own state! A ‘big get’, as if Cruz might not have won.
There are pictures of that pathetic rally on twitter. Sad.
Agree. Cruz is a great “details” guy. Those kind are usually never good business leaders or managers. They put on their fireman’s hats and put out brushfires.
We have what appears to be a major economic crisis ahead of us and we need someone that is better suited to handle it than Cruz. He’s just not the guy.
Also, Cruz may push for the social conservatives but so did Jimmy Carter (he would throw religion at them faster than anyone). I am not voting for a pastor. I am voting for someone to lead this nation out of the current economic crisis.
Trump has shown he’s a leader but being first to bring issues to the table. Ted usually tries to follow up with the same issues.
So he’s quoting Obama and claiming he’s like Bern?
Two US Sentators arguing over who is more “outside the system”. Go figure.
So, he’s identifying with Bernie and Barry, now?
Got it.
o.O
Bravo Sierra. His delegate play reeks of politics and I, for one, am sick to death of politicians. The GOPe are his willing accomplices in this and will either turn on him or come to collect their markers.
“Cruz is a micro-manager. He took on cases before the Supreme Court like if sex toys could be sold in Texas.”
To be fair (I’m a Trump supporter)
Ted didn’t take on anything in front of SCOTUS. All, and I mean ALL of his work nationally was him doing his job as Solicitor General for the state of Texas.
Ted never used his personal values as reasons for argument for or against anything. He was just doing his job.
For what it’s worth.
Cruz an outsider? BWAHAHAHAHAHA THAT right there is the funniest thing i have heard all night.
Trump claims that Carl Icahn would come into his administration to negotiate trade deals.
Carl Icahn is one of the most feared men on wall street. Nasty sob I read. Thats what we want doing work for us.
It is a good bet that Trump can put some of the nastiest SOBs on the planet in there doing work for the people.
I say, GO FOR IT!
