Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

I know you aren’t talking to me but I have to interject here - I have heard this time and time again. What does it say to the world, to any country we are dealing with, if our contracts, our deals, our negotiations, (good or bad) is only good for the current administration?

You cannot do business in the world as a nation if whoever you are doing business with knows it will only last another four-eight years. You cannot go about, tearing up treaties and contracts because you don’t like what someone else did.

Sorry. While there are quite a few pragmatists, like me, who will vote for the “least worst” candidate, many feel like Charlie Brown getting tricked by Lucy with the football, and are just not going to settle any more.

For many Cruz supporters, they will not accept Trump. I think it is nuts, but it is what it is.

For many Trump supporters, they will never accept Cruz. It is also nuts, but it is what it is.

In spite of how terrible the Democrat candidates are this year, there is such a large percentage of the voting population that is both evil and stupid, that ANYONE on the Democrat ticket has a good chance of winning.

However, a Trump-Cruz ticket would win because of turnout.

Cruz may rate higher in the polls against the Dems than Trump, but it is a long way to November. I think Trump has a better chance of defending against the media. He has already proved he can do it.

On the other hand, a significant portion of Cruz voters will not vote for Trump if he does not pick Cruz or someone who is similarly regarded as very conservative. Remember that even Rhino McCain shored up a sizable amount of support by picking Sarah Palin.

Trump has more flexibility on this because he has more votes and more support. But even so, it is simple math to see there is not enough margin of error for him to lose a chunk of Cruz supporters.

You are counting on the intelligence, honesty, and common sense of the American people for Trump to win without uniting the base. You (and I) will be sorely disappointed.

Plan to unite at the convention, or plan to have a permanent liberally-controlled government. Or at least until Revolution 2.

I do think cruz is much more conservative than President Bush-— I like that.

But I can see shades of gray on conservatism and I take as much as I can get in whatever political situation I see.

That is why I am bewildered that at this early juncture there seems to be some taboo in pointing out that Trump is not very conservative.

I remember DJT, in a TV interview MANY years ago (with Oprah?) responding to the question of why doesn’t he run for president.

His response at the time was, he loved the work he was doing, and that the state of the country would have to be VERY VERY BAD, SERIOUSLY VERY BAD, for him to consider running.

I think most Americans are clueless as to just how SERIOUSLY BAD shape this country is in right now, and how close we are to “meltdown”, economically, spiritually, etc. The central banks are out of tricks. Currency devaluation seems eminent. Our people turn their backs and dishonor God at every turn.

I can’t imagine him wanting to jump in at this point, to try to restore the America many of us remember. The enemies are deathly fierce, both foreign AND DOMESTIC.

We are truly blessed that DJT has volunteered to put himself up for this seemingly impossible task, and at his own expense at that.

I thought so at the beginning of the campaign, but Trump came out with ‘controversial’ position after position - controversial only because they were very conservative and very pro-America.

Cruz was silent on illegal immigration for months.

For one so eloquent, that was deafening.

His positions were not as conservative as Trump’s in the beginning, yet as Trump’s became popular, Cruz’s changed to become like Trump’s. It was fascinating to watch because I expected mire from Cruz.

Then after promising to run a clean campaign, he did one sleazy thing after another.

He’s not who he pretends. My hubby was right all along (I hate that, he is usually right..) He thought Cruz mapped out how to become president long ago. He didn’t really have a conviction on one side or the other - note how he could debate either side of an issue with equal intensity in school. Winning was all that mattered. Everything he did in the Senate was to set the stage for him being an outsider. It’s all for show. And if he would keep up the show for 8 years, who cares? But I don’t think he will - his softening on positions in the beginning of the campaign is a real problem for me. I don’t trust him.

OTOH, when Trump was attacked by the left and right for deportation, the wall, banning Muslims - he not only didn’t back down, he doubled down even stronger. It could’ve backfired - the MSM spent every day saying he went too far. If Trump was only pandering, he’d take the middle road not the far right attacking ridicule from all sides. It seems quite honest to me.

Should be, but isn’t. I wonder if Trump shook hands with the persons who ended up not being paid because of his bankruptcies (though he himself had plenty of money).

I don’t trust politicians or wheeler-dealer businessmen (whichever way you wish to classify him). I go by their records, and with great trepidation try to anticipate what they’ll do in the future. I enjoyed some of Trump’s digs at the beginning of the campaign — and the way he shook up the establishment and the media — but neither his character nor his intelligence has ever impressed me. How so many persons can put so much hope in him I cannot understand.
