Just Vote Colorado
Colorado GOP website ^ | unk | Colorado GOP

Looks like Colorado knows how to hold a regular primary, when it wants to. They have one on June 28, 2016 for every office EXCEPT PRESIDENT. From the Senate on down. Sounds like regular voters are allowed to register their opinion on this election, without voting for blind delegates, evidently.

Your thoughts?

It is the Colorado GOP basically flipped off the citizens of Colorado, in order that a 'few' could select the already pre-determined delegates, for the pre-determined nominee.

Absolutely positively not true. Delegates this year were chosen the same as they were for the last three Presidential elections.

In 2012, 66,000 Republicans voted. Rick Santorum beat Mitt Romney with over 6% of the vote. Rick got only 6 delegates.

The 2012 poll in which 66,000 people voted is just that - a poll. It has nothing to do with how delegates are chosen. This is why Rick only got 6 delegates. Rick did not have a ground game in place. Delegates are awarded at the state convention - not because of some poll.

People are speaking up, including county GOP chairmen, to say the rules were, in fact, NOT followed in many places in CO.

Please show me the rules that was not followed.

Minus that straw poll... and the GOP was not so brazen to TWIT out #NEVERTRUMP after their PTA style delegate selection.

I would NOT support Trump if he used the Cruz methodology in seducing delegates... The GOP is corrupt bottom up and top down, including Cruz.

I already posted this link on this thread but allow me to hold your hand:
http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/04/15/hillary-13/

“I’m the former Chairman of the Pueblo County Republican Party and the person who developed the Slates for National Delegates for the Trump team. The Colorado GOP website was filled with errors posted about the National Delegates,” Becky Mizel told Breitbart News.

Mizel took a photograph of a ballot in Congressional District 7 that included ONLY the ballot numbers of delegate candidates, NOT the names of the candidates as required by state bylaws.

But Article Xiii of the Colorado Republican Convention bylaws (Assemblies and Conventions Section A) show that a delegate candidate must be identified alongside the name of the presidential candidate that he or she is pledged to support, so long as the delegate candidate discloses that information:

Candidates for national convention delegate need not identify the presidential candidate they are pledged to support, but may do so at their option. The ballot shall include the presidential candidate each candidate for national delegate is pledged to support, or shall indicate that the candidate for national delegate is unpledged. CRC Bylaws, Art. XIII, § A(5)(c).

A change to a straw poll is a rule change.

Not one that rigs the outcome against Trump. The poll is non-binding.

Mizel took a photograph of part of a ballot in Congressional District 7

There. Fixed it. The ballot includes more than the detached optical scan portion.

Really? You do not have to be a researcher or a detective... I wonder why one has to become a detective or researcher in order to cast a vote..

You just have to be involved. Like sex, politics is much more fun when you are active and involved and not just laying there like a bump on a log.

The title of this web site is 'Free Republic'

If you have been involved in your local party, then you know your local leaders. Your local party leaders will be reflective of the local neighborhood Republicans.

If you are so uninvolved that you do not know them, they do not know you, then I have no sympathy for you. Not in the slightest.

I’ll take the word of the Pueblo County GOP chairman over you that there were ballot irregularities.

You have a valid point with the 588 cutoff, although I don't see any evidence of a conspiracy. If all the Trump delegates were listed after 588, then you would have a point. This also could have easily been overcome by an effective organization.

By the way, Trump's own flyers had Becky Mizel's name misspelled.

The fact is that states can pick pretty much any system of awarding delegates that they want.

What is funny is when the same people who scream ‘State’s Rights’ the loudest and most vehemently complain when a state assigns delegates in a way unfavorable to their candidate.

The evidence of a conspiracy was the flyer a few weeks before saying they were going to deny Trump and the “accidental” gloating tweet sent out after.

The conspirators were not the smartest, but the GOPe’s OPSEC is ferociously bad. They’ve been telling us their plans every step of the way.

Ah, so 'they' means some anti-Trump folks. Not party officials. Not convention officials. But anti-Trump folks. Got it.

Do you have something with substance that points to actual party officials?
