Still reeling after Sen. Ted Cruzs delegate sweep in Colorado, voters are waking up to the fact that delegates are the ones who will determine the Republican nominee and that the primaries and caucuses are just for show. Whats more, there might just be another Colorado on the horizon, where voters will get no say at all.
Up next is the state of Wyoming, a state which, along with Colorado and North Dakota, has chosen to not hold a nominating contest this year, which means no primary or caucus vote. Instead, Republican voters there will be represented by county delegates at a convention April 14-16. They will select the statewide delegates who will represent Wyoming at the Republican National Convention in July in Cleveland.
Wyoming holds 29 delegates: 14 will be elected at the convention and 12 have already been selected at county conventions nine of which are Cruz supporters. One delegate went to Sen. Marco Rubio, one went to Donald Trump, and one is uncommitted. The remaining three delegates slots automatically go to members of the state GOP.
After the results in Colorado, a decision made last August when the state party there decided voters would not weigh in, one can expect Trump and his team to take Wyoming seriously and put forth a strong effort to make sure their supporters are selected to the remaining 14 slots at the Wyoming convention.
Wyoming is the final state to opt not to hold a nominating contest. Following the Cowboy State are states such as Delaware, Arizona and Virginia, which will hold their state conventions on April 30 following their states caucuses or primaries. Most of the other states have gone more as expected.

What crap of course. So much for transparency. I wonder how many politicians voted more then once if they had 8 different contests. I see why the voters of Colorado are outraged. They should be.
I have yet to see where the voters are out raged in mass in Colorado.........unless you mean the guy who burned his registration form?
Not exactly true. Until this election they’d always had a vote at the convention which was non binding but gave a sense of where the sympathies lay. Colorado was told by the national GOP that they could not have a vote at the convention and then not assign delegates proportionally. To me that sounds like the national party was asking them to have a primary. Instead they abolished the convention vote. Note: There were lots of Trump delegates seeking support in the room. It is not a winner take all state. It seems rather improbable that not one of the many Trump delegates in the room was not chosen if the process was not rigged.
If you cannot see how the system in place at least looks corrupt and dishonest, especially to people that were new to the system and how they might legitimately feel they’d been cheated then I don’t think I can explain it to you.
If you had been honest, this discussion would never have taken place...
“...The group that calls itself Colorado Votes Matter has organized a rally for April 15 at the Colorado GOP headquarters...”
Uhhhhh...Yes, you did...
... the Trump disinfranchised voter rally in Colorado...
I believe i acknowledged that i attached Trumps name due to the fact he called for protests.
As I said...You made it up.....

They are protesting. The voters have a right to do so. I am glad I live in Florida where they have fair elections. Colorado is a communist state. Wyoming too.
<<< The primary should run like the general does >>>
Operation chaos.
Operation chaos would be an improvement from the Iranian dictator elections we have here.
Why? We LIKE a republican form of government. You know, electing representatives (delegates) to represent our interests.
“Is that what Trump said when winner take all rules gave him lots of delegates with less than 50% of the vote?”
This is the most absolutely stupid argument you cruz supporters come up with. First, Cruz won a winner take all state.
Secondly, when a candidate wins the general election, they become President of ALL of the country.
Ah yes, the democrat mantra that popular vote should be the only thing that counts. Now where have we heard that before. Oh yes, it was the democrats trying to scrap another delegate / representative based system call the electoral college.
Republicans and conservatives rejected the idea back then as well.
LOL aint that the truth!
Were delegates chosen by direct popular vote? No. Did the party bosses have a lot of say in the process? Probably. That’s the way it was designed by the people who had the lawful power to do it, like it or not. If anyone can prove something illegal was done, have at it.
If what I see on FR about “Never Trump” and “Never Cruz” is any kind of guide, we’re screwed in the general election, never mind what the GOPe might try to do. Personally I’ll pull the lever for either Cruz or Trump. I won’t vote for Jeb(!), and probably not for Kasich or Ryan.
And considering that USAAF/RAF aircrews - following orders - dropped about 3 million tons of poorly-aimed bombs on German and Japanese cities in WWII, I tend to shy away from getting involved in that argument.
The delegates were not elected by the people..They were chosen by the CO GOPE leaders....
You are so off base in your understanding of the Colorado GOP it cries out for correction.
1) The Coloraodo caucus system has been in place and is essentially unchanged since 2004.
2) The rank and file elect precinct delegates (Representatives) to represent the precinct in the state convention
3) These representatives then go and represent the members of the GOP at the state convention. Sound anything like what the founders set up - perhaps it sounds a lot like how Congress works?
4) Any registered republican can run for and be elected to represent their precinct - just like Congress
The states of Colorado and Wyoming are doing EXACTLY what the people of the state wanted - a representative form of government, where the grass roots, mom and pop republican can run for and be elected to an office within the party.
If you are from another state, and want a different system, fine. Go do your thing. Leave us alone, cause we a sick and tired of east and west coast liberals, elitists, and busy bodies trying to tell us how to run or own affairs.
That is a flat out lie and I am calling you on it.
State delegates are elected at the precinct level and only those who live in the precinct are allowed to vote the election of the delegates.
There were lots of Trump delegates seeking support in the room. It is not a winner take all state. It seems rather improbable that not one of the many Trump delegates in the room was not chosen if the process was not rigged.
It is highly probable when you consider the disorganization of the Trump campaign:
Colorado loss reveals chaotic, overwhelmed Trump campaign
Trump's state director, Patrick Davis, was hired on April 5, just four days before the Convention. They had zero organization at the Convention, and it cost them.
Contrast that with Ted Cruz who actually delivered a speech at that Convention. Ted Cruz had a state director already in place last December. The Cruz ground game drafted supporters to get involved, participate in the caucuses over a month ago, and volunteer their time to serve as convention reps. And once there, they got to know their delegates and handed out flyers supporting their delegates.
Trump got beat. Plain and simple.
Please provide colorados breakdown.
If you would like to make a point please feel free to research, post to make it. As for myself i’m not concerned about it.
Why should any state bother with primaries if States like Colorado and Wyoming just hand pick the establishment candidate.
I am not saying illegal I am saying unethical. Big difference
And it wasn’t just the Trump people that were confused
