Cold greeting for Cruz at GOP gala
The Hll ^ | 04/14/2016 | Jessie Hellmann

Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz got the cold shoulder from a room of 800 Republicans at the New York City GOP gala Thursday night, receiving little interaction from the audience as he went through his usual stump speech.

Cruz, who followed speeches from rivals Donald Trump and John Kasich, began by making a joke at Trump’s expense that fell flat. “I haven’t built any buildings in New York City, but I have spent my entire life fighting to defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights,” the Texas senator said, taking a shot at the GOP front-runner who, just moments before, spent the majority of his speech talking about his New York real estate successes.

Media at the scene reported guests walking around and talking during Cruz’s address.

He should just stay inside for a week because he’s losing momentum with each appearance.
Even the town hall which is a softball gift of an hour was ruined for him by talking about watching hard core porn in front of his daughters while following up with talking about the build a bear workshop for one of their birthdays. He was very creepy and slimy.

Everyone realizes he’s an A-hole now except for the most die hard Cruzlims. It’s like a cult with very limited appeal.

Machines beat people at chess, and that’s what is going to happen in Cleveland.

So, you want the cleverest to be the nominee?

Henri Frederic Amiel says that "Clever people will recognize and tolerate nothing but cleverness."

I think you're on to something!

I do wish Mr. Cruz would go back to whatever he was good at before he got involved in the Presidential campaign. To not see his name in the public forum would be such a welcome change.

For you to attack him shows you simply do not get it.

So CRNN: questioning Trump's Conservatism, is attacking him?

Let me try this again, tell me, in spite of all the GOOD Conservatives in New York State, they are VASTLY outnumbered by the people that would Elect Cuomo, DeBlassio, HILLARY, Schumer, KING among all those other useless politicians.

New York did so well on that State Election between Lazio/Hillary, Yea lets go for it....PPPPHHHHTTTT.

You still did not understand. Let me try one more time.

It is not just New York.

America is much more like Trump. All of America. Not just New York.

Trump can win. And he is singularly qualified to actually change the way our political system is run - which is currently SOLD OUT.

Trump can be a champion for individual Americans.

No other candidate, in either party, for the last GENERATION is so singularly qualified to be for Americans once again.

Nobody.

cba123, I’m convinced.

Your arguments were so pervasive I couldn’t help but have to overlook my Texas Bias for the Canadian.

I’m gonna order me a Trump Cap tonight.

"So a group of NY RINO’s like Trump and dislike Cruz, says a lot right there."

All New Yorkers like Trump and dislike Cruz.

Watch those New Yorkers make that clear next Tuesday.

I know you’re funning with me, but I am completely series.

Cruz won’t win the presidency. I see a lot of Texans standing up for the ... the ... you know, the guy who was born in Canada.

I lived in Texas. I sort of get the place. I understand Cruz has the support of Texans, and they are bound and determined to say a lot of things, to a lot of people, by supporting him. Far more than just this election. This is about Texas. And generations, of put downs.

It is a statement. In parts.

But Cruz is the GOPe favorite. He is supported by our entire mainstream GOP. He is a favorite of the same people who have sold out individual Americans at work, by selling out millions of American jobs, to China.

He is supported by Mitt Romney. He is supported by John McCain. He is supported by Bush. He is supported my the entire GOP establishment. All of them.

Trump is the one people want. Individual Americans. Millions of them fill stadium, after stadium, after stadium everywhere. They all support Trump strongly.

Those people are not the people, your statement is against. I think the people you are trying to make a statement to, are the same ones who are now supporting Cruz. Sorry but I do.

Cruz is now fighting Trump, on behalf of the entire GOP establishment.

He just is.

You need to look at who you are supporting once again.

This isn’t just about Texas. Texas has a number of very real grievances from history. I get that, but now is not the time, and Cruz is not the candidate, to address those.

America needs Trump.

Then what?

Do you think people want to vote for a machine?

Thank god you’re no longer in army intelligence.

Trump drew stadiums of 20,000 cheering supporters in Texas. Cruz couldn’t fill a thimble of supporters just about anywhere.

Though I will admit, the Bush family is remarkably respected there.

:D

I think he was a bit of a globalist, (both of them actually) but I voted for both of them and supported the, except for the fact they both sold out to China far, far too much.

So maybe that is part of it, as well.
