On Tuesday, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory (shown) caved to pressure from big businesses and the LGBT community and signed an executive order to change the states recently passed LGBT law that barred local governments from extending protections to gay and transgender individuals and mandated that individuals use bathrooms based on the biological sex that appears on their birth certificates. Unfortunately for the governor, the order failed to appease the law's critics and has provoked criticism from the law's supporters.

Pat McCrory is as useless as a one-legged clothespin. Except for Helms, NC has failed miserably.
well perhaps people should email the governor and state that they will now now do business with N.C
Looks like he KEPT the bathroom provisions but added something about being able to sue for discrimination. Sounds like a political move.
Bottom line, men still cannot walk into any female facility they feel like walking into that moment, and saying “I’m getting in touch with my feminine side” as a justification.
Lord!!!! READ THE ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
He changed NOTHING pertaining to the restroom, shower, dressing room part of the law!!!!!!!
He just set an example that proved that corporate threats are more powerful than desires of the voters.
Other states will see this example and do the same.
“I am never using a public multi stall restroom in N.C.”
The dead guy wearing a dress in the ladies room will be pretty good evidence that I did!
EXACTLY!!!!!
I don’t know why people fly off the handle without reading what actually happened.....
The discrimination suit is for employers NOT being allowed to fire or refusing to hire based on sexual preference...
I think that is standard everywhere....
The governor said his action was in response from protests by homosexual activists and their allies. He said he was calling on the legislature to reinstate the right to sue for discrimination. He as much as said he was trying to appease them.
That what the homosexual activists want. The right to sue and to threaten to sue businesses.
The also want the bathroom, locker room access and have stated that they will not be satisfied until they get that too.
This was appeasement. They said they were not satisfied. If it doesn't work, the governor will need to appease them some more.
None of the homosexual groups or other states have said that this is good enough so he may have done it for nothing.
I noticed some of the comments, so I figured I’d actually read the article first.
Amazing how much difference ignoring that simple step will make. :>)
They won’t get the bathroom law changed....
Isn’t it the truth????
How can a governor change a law with an executive order? This is America, not pharaonic Egypt.
We will see how this plays out.
I suspect there will be pressure from the Obama administration.
If the actions by Pay Pal and others continue then he will have done this for nothing.
But I hope you are right. I hope the Governor shows some strength.
By the way, I congratulate you on reading the article.
Did you read the bill - and understand it?
Did you then read what he signed - and understand it?
Are you from NC?
I really don’t think McCrory will give in...ESPECIALLY on the restroom, shower, dressing room section....
Enough of these LGBTQBS clowns.
I guess McCrory doesn’t read the Bible.
I hope you're right.
Now in my heart I know I was BORN to be a band member of Springsteen. I expect to be allowed on the stage since it is my deepest held belief
For all the good it did, I closed my PayPal account.

And I sent an email to Deutsche Bank public relations.
The last two addresses are overseas.
I told them that this was not a gay rights issue, it is simply common sense that a little girl should never encounter a grown man in a restroom and that I now associate Deutsche Bank with men who like to pee in front of little girls.
