The article focuses on Speaker Ryan but it is unfair to blame him alone. The corrupt, dishonest politicians who control Puerto Rico forced the Commonwealth into de facto bankruptcy. The corrupt and dishonest politicians in Washington D.C. are using taxpayer dollars to bail them out and reward them for their corruption.

No one cares about the hit to American taxpayers.

“Speaker Ryan but it is unfair to blame him alone”
Nothing comes to the floor unless the speaker says so, he could stop it if he wanted to.

Ryan: have you introduced legislation to legally define a “subsidy” as only when appropriations are actually made, when a check/disbursement is actually presented to the party receiving the subsidy — rather than anything else like keeping more of your money after taxes — yet?

Thank God we have a (privately owned) Federal Reserve bank, that can print all the unbacked, paper, fiat dollars we need, and create massive amounts of debt, to pay for all of our governments’ political corruption and social engineering schemes.

Without it, the nanny state couldn’t exist and would couldn’t paper over bankruptcy and corruption so easily!!

Wall Street is doing fine. The “Washington Cartel”(remember them Cruzaderos?)is doing fine. Print more money and hand it out to the connected cronies.

For those still working: Pay your taxes, do what you’re told, vote(as if it matters)for the UniParty, and shut up about it. The joke is on you.

For those on the dole: Draw your checks, do what you’re told, believe everything you see on TV, vote for who we tell you to vote for, and blame conservatives, especially “racist” White males, for all your troubles.

That about sums up America, 2016.

Can we call it unconstitutional?

How much affirmative action, pity or welfare do they need?

You want to call it restructuring? Fine, then let them file under BK to restructure.

The one sure management tool is The Law Of Effect.

The Law Of Effect basically states that you will tend to get more of the behavior you reward and less of the behavior you punish.

Let’s see how that applies to Puerto Rico.

Their politicians ran a Ponzi Scheme and stole.

We want less of that type of behavior.

So we should punish them.

Are we?

Because they damn sure rewarded themselves with taxpayer and borrowed money.

What kind of behavior can we expect more of in the future?

Puerto Rico is our Greece. Call it whatever you like.

Who is losing money and who is gaining it?

What is the loser getting in return for the money?

What is the gainer giving up in return for the money?

I have a friend who was born in and grew up in Puerto Rico. He immigrated to the States many years ago. I asked him what he thought about the state of the country.

He said, “The whole problem with Puerto Rico is there are too many ‘effing Puerto Ricans there.”

“...stop calling it a “bailout”. Instead Ryan demands his opposition use the gaslighting term “restructuring”.”

Like an old buddy from the sticks would say, “You can put three stripes on a cow patty, but that don’t make it a Gucci handbag.”

I.E. It’s a frigging BAILOUT!
