Former California Republican Party chairman Tom Del Beccaro told Breitbart News on Tuesday that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is better positioned to win the states primary June 7, thanks to superior organization and the fact that only registered Republicans will be able to participate. Given the Cruz organizations head start, he is better positioned than [Donald] Trump, Del Beccaro said.

>> Will Cruz win the California primary?
I guess we’ll find out. It will be cool if he does.
Tom was a good friend when I lived in CA.
I certainly hope Cruz wins Cali. He does have a superior ground game and organization.
Spinit and someone will believe it.
After Trump smashes Cruz and Kasich in NY he goes on to win at least four of the next five primaries on the 26th of April...he will have momentum. California out away from the coastal areas tends to be conservative and rural and more likely Trump voters. Hes up by 7 in the Field poll which means he is probably up more than that. As a California Ex-pat who will never ever move back I hope my home state goes for Trump and brings home the nomination. It will be the first time since 1964 that the California primary means anything because races are usually settled by June.

How can one be a Freeper and hate cruz? Unless, of course you are infiltrating this site from the left
I’ve lived in SoCal my entire adult life. CA loves winners. Trump will have a huge advantage especially after blowout wins in NY, PA, CN, DE, and RI. I’ve already seen many Trump yard signs in SoCal. There are a few in my neighborhood. Trump should win Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino, and San Diego Counties. Los Angeles is a different beast..they could do anything. He does have a golf course in LA county which could help him. I heard Cruz was in Irvine earlier in the week..there was no buzz about it. Apparently he got a really small crowd.
He’s been organizing there for months. So we’ll see.
According to noted conservative Glenn Beck, Ted Cruz is just like Moses so California is in the, umm, er, bag.
Go tell it on the mountain, Ted!
I live in Ventura county and we are SOLID Trump up our way!!!
Ted is about to watch Trump win 300 plus delegates during which he’ll be very lucky to win 40.
Within two weeks Ted will need 120 to 130% of the remaining delegates to get to 1237 delegates prior to the convention.
At the convention one of three things will happen,
1. Trump will already have 1237 delegates
2. Trump will gain the 50 or so delegates he needs to get 1237 on second or third counts
3. Ted Cruz will gain 400 - 500 delegates he needs to get 1237 delegates on the second or third counts.
LOL, despite all the propaganda to the contrary, Ted Cruz is a pathetic loser and will have siphoned off way more of his supporter’s money than a decent moral person should have.
Ted is a low life individual.
Didn’t you get the memo? Anyone who is against Trump is GOPe. Get with the program. s/
Usually there aren't two candidates who have already been mathematically eliminated staying in the race solely to thwart the front-runner.
Years ago, a politician would see the writing on the wall ... now they are all egomaniacal idjuts.
That is the question that baffles me. I can respect passion FOR a candidate. I get disgusted by the steady diet of character assassination.
If Trump is serious about defeating the Uniparty, he will leave off the mudslinging at Cruz.
Uhhhh...
I actually liked Cruz until about 2 months ago when his mask fell completely off.
Anyone left supporting him at this point is either delusional, being used by the GOPe, or a paid endorser.
I don’t think trump will need to win it. We’ll see how many delegates short he is when he gets there. I still think once Cruz is out of 1237, his support will diminish. Since Kasick has, he hasn’t one a single delegate.
Ted Cruz will grab an upset win over Donald Trump in Arizona's presidential primary election on Tuesday, as he's the "only candidate with any kind of organization out here," a close confidant of Sen. John McCain predicts.
"They have him positioned to spring the upset," Kurt Davis, a GOP operative in Arizona, told The Hill. "They just have to deliver."
According to Real Clear Politics, Trump is ahead of Cruz by 13 points in the state's polls, but in Arizona, Republicans on the ground say the race's margin is narrower, and Cruz could pull off the upset.
Largely academic exercise at this point. Cruz is mathematically eliminated in 6 days and as such he re-assumes the role he has always played, the turd in a punchbowl. Cruz will get his votes in CA, but not enough to win. Once he is mathematically eliminated, the theme from the Trump camp will be that Ted is the GOPe and in it only for a contested convention. 6 weeks of that will be enough to drive Cruz to a number which cannot sustain a victory. And, by the way, Cruz has never led in a California poll.
Barf alert! That is a disgusting post. 90 percent of FREEPERS support trump. Many longer here then our 2005 date. By the way the FREEPER you insulted has been here since 2007.
