Colorado GOP Lied About #NeverTrump Tweet The Account Was Not Hacked, It Was Posted by Trump-Hating Insider
On Saturday Ted Cruz supporters took all 13 of the delegates up for grabs at the Colorado GOP Convention to complete a clean sweep of the state.
But it was not without controversy.
There never was a vote Party elites decided on who got the delegates.
The Cruz camp and GOP establishment leaders strong-armed their way to a sweep by banning Trump delegates and omitting them from the ballots and listing Cruz delegates TWICE!
After Cruz swept the Colorado delegates the Colorado Republican Party tweeted this out: colorado gop
The Republican party said this tweet saying the account was hacked.
But that is a lie.
The party deleted the tweet only three minutes after it was posted meaning they still had control of the account.
It was not hacked it was a Republican party insider.
Disgusting.
The Colorado GOP establishment is still lying about the tweet and their hatred for Trump:
This is from the Reddit Community Website:
People are probably getting back similar responses (if not copied and pasted), but heres the one I got:
Dear , If Mr. Trump comes to the convention and wins either before or while there I will be his champion. People seem to think we did something wrong in Colorado in our process and we didnt. We have a caucus not a primary and that should be changed but we didnt manipulate the votes nor did we tweet out something that said never trump. Our system got hacked. We treated people fairly and honestly and whoever wins this thing will have our full support. Steve Steve House Chairman Colorado Republican Party
Oh, but Limbaugh , Levin, and Beck just said it’s winning by the rules ...let them try to win without the Trump army ...ooops I forgot , I think they want to lose, they have to keep the Conservascam going $$$$
I disagree. It shows that somewhere in Colorado GOP headquarters there is an anti-Trump staffer. I'm going to go out on a limb, but not by much at all, and say that somewhere in Colorado GOP headquarters there is an anti-Cruz staffer. Both are so obviously true, with or without one tweet, that it's not worth any reaction. I'll be voting for Trump, but my response to #NeverCruz from the same Twitter account would be exactly the same.
The fact that the stupid message was deleted after three minutes proves that (1) the Tweet wasn't a real (outside) hack in the classical sense, and (2) the Tweet was not the actual position of the Colorado GOP. The way I read it, they called it a "hack" because it was an unauthorized use of their Twitter, even though it was an insider (either using an open computer or an account on which he was supposed to send only approved messages), so the effect was the same as in an outside hack. This is politics, and they probably see the lie as spin - something morally equivalent to the truth so not as bad as a real lie.
Cruz cheats and lies. We all know that. His fans here are proud of him for it.
I’m not going to nuance why it happened or their explanation, it happened, so they are going to have to live with it.
I don’t trust the whole GOP establishment in that whole process to begin with so it resonates very badly with me.

Btw, you could be right. The differences between the two beltway parties are inconsequential.
It happened, but there is a huge difference between it representing one person at the Colorado headquarters, the entire Colorado GOP staff, the entire national GOP establishment, or everyone who has ever voted republican or talked with a republican in our country's history. Besides not allowing that Tweet to taint President Lincoln's legacy, I don't think it should even taint the entire Colorado office. People do dumb things, and that is the entire explanation - one person did a dumb thing.
There are real problems with the GOP establishment, but this Tweet is not indicative of those problems.
By the way, I don't trust the GOP establishment either. I think they are trying to make Cruz their stooge to knock Trump out, and then replace Cruz with Kasich or some other pro-Amnesty big government liberal at the convention. I don't think Cruz is either complicit in that plan or too stupid to recognize it. I think Cruz knows that is their plan and thinks he can beat them. However, this Tweet is far more likely to reflect one person behaving stupidly than it is to shine a light on the real problems.
No shit.
The Cruz-bots are busy circle-jerking onto pictures of Trump. Same sleazy bastards that pimped Lyndon Larouche.
“Cruz needs to drop out for the sake of the country...”
Yeah and that was disgusting, the party should remain neutral, and it was aweful.
People do dumb things, and that is the entire explanation - one person did a dumb thing.
Lying about it after they deleted it was, in my opinion, worse. Had they said, "We apologize for the previous tweet, which does not represent the entire CO GOP." -- that would have been honest, and respectable. But to claim that it was an unauthorized user.... nobody is buying that. It was an Authorized user who believes what they wrote, and they did a dumb thing, an unauthorized tweet. But it wasn't an unauthorized user. Nobody is buying that. And they should have simply owned that someone who is authorized to use the account is #NeverTrump.
There are 858 still available delegates
Trump needs 482 delegates or roughly 56%
Cruz needs 692 delegates were 80% of the delegates remaining
My point though is that it may well have been an "unauthorized user", under a reasonable definition of the term. It may have been a completely unauthorized staffer who sent it out on another staffer's open computer. It may have been a staffer who was authorized to send out approved Tweets, but that one was not approved so he was for that message not an "authorized user". They're politicians, and they would see that distinction as spin and hope the spin would make the problem disappear.
That is not surprising. Never believed it in the first place.
Holt is demonstrating one more thing he is ignorant of: hacking.
Holt is a propagandist. Not a good propagandist, but a propagandist nonetheless.
Lack of any legal actions might add to it...of course, if it was Trump's side of the aisle involved, there would be no need for any stinkin' proof.
How embarrassing it is for you Trumpists to keep whining and crying about the same old stuff.
How embarrassing Ted Cruz is scared to campaign in NY. Cut and run Cruz. This is the man who will beat Hillary? Really?

I understand. And that's the kind of rhetoric** that we're all sick of, and that's the kind of dishonesty that Trump rails about. Trump calls it lying most of the time, but occasionally he will use the term dishonesty. It's why in a court of law, they have witnesses tell "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." Not spin. Not shades of the truth. Not nuances of the truth.
**The term rhetoric, when used by politicians or the media, is synonymous with bullsh*t. Whey they complain about "Trump's rhetoric," they mean "Trump's bullsh*t." And I'm simply saying that the average American is sick of their rhetoric. You're right, it was probably an "authorized" user for that account, EXCEPT for that one tweet, which didn't have good optics -- it was accurate, but it didn't look good, so they deleted it, and then tried to claim "unauthorized user." Rhetoric. Spin. Rhetoric.
