Former CO GOP Chair: Message We're Sending Is "Your Vote Doesn't Matter
Real Clear Politics ^ | 4/11/2016 | Ian Schwartz

Former Colorado state Republican party chairman Ryan Call talked to Laura Ingraham today to explain the delegation-selection process works and how it "cuts out any semblance of democracy or the popular will." Call said the statewide convention that chooses the delegates reinforces all the worst stereotypes of the party.

"The very time we should be opening up our doors and being more open and transparent, and welcoming people into our Party, we’ve essentially made the decision to close it off and make it more cumbersome and more difficult. And, to prevent the ability of people to have their voice heard in this process. You’re reinforcing all of the very worst stereotypes about the Party and I, frankly, am very concerned about the way voters are going to feel," Call told Ingraham.

I am anti establishment but I’m also anti-hypocrisy...my goodness Trump has given more to the Clinton foundation than he’s given to all charities. He supported Obamacare, he said (me) he can’t stand the Tea party and loved Obama in 2009. He believes government’s role is education, spending and health care-—really? He was anti-gun but now says he supports the 2A-—sound familiar? He sounds like Obama in 2008. My goodness, I used to get this “zombie-ism” from the Obama folks in 2008 and simply asked them to just be open to the claims and yet they refused. My goodness, I’ve never seen conservatives attack each other over a candidate-—for crying out loud, we agree on the same principals, why are we letting politicians divide us yet again?

we divide because we see the corrupt establishment doing everything they can to stop the will of the voter. The same people who said Trump had to sign a pledge and ten they backstab him and the voters.

Trump also gave to republicans and cruz too.

cruz made the decision to get in bed with the establishment when he saw his campaign failing here in the south.

Only 4 primary election states cruz has taken and one of those was his own with less tan 50%.
That is awful for anyone to go into a general election and cruz could have stepped down after super Tuesday here in FL when it was obvious he would never get to the convention with enough delegates, but alas his own ego along with helping the establishment will not let him do that.

And the only way the elite’s rules can be changed is by infiltrating the elite, knocking them down and making new ones for WTP? Was this what our FF had in mind when they founded this nation? WE THE PEOPLE only if WTP can be ruled by our opposed elite parties? If the PARTIES are unhappy as to whom WTP propose to choose, they can change their rules on a whim and a prayer to make said rules more favorable to keep THEM in office?

The snake has shown it’s colors and the heart is black. EVIL BLACK!

If Trump is the nominee I’ll vote for him.

Now that that is out of the way:

I am almost certain that if Trump was already over 1237, not one supporter would be saying a word about the process, except to excoriate any non-Trump supporter who dared question it.

Hey, I’m all open to candidate bashing...prove me wrong. Show me Trump is a Conservative and Cruz is working with the establishment...all I ask for is facts. I’m reasonable...

I serio0usly should not have to point this out to anyone by now.

cruz worked with Bush in TX before he was running for senate.
He hired Bush
He got help from Romney, endorsed by Graham, help from the PAC’s which are for the establishment.
He got help from Ryan.

Hell if you don’t think cruz is full blown establishment then there is nothing I can tell you are you are most certainly naïve at best.

To say Cruz has cheated and stole the election in CO is not true. Read up on history....all parties were aware of this going in. Do I like it? No, I don’t but it shows that Trump and his campaign don’t know how the system works and the only way to change it is get inside and reverse after the fact.

Not cheating per se but never the less not honorable to declare victory when you are nothing more than the crony selected anti-Trump. All the candidates should disavow CO delegates and then let the CO voters take care of their own corruption.

The vote for everyone (OK, all registered Republicans) was March 1.

[”Your Vote Doesn’t Matter”]

That called disenfranchisment any way you look at it.

Perhaps the Conservative black and LEGAL Hispanics across the country, where this tactic is practiced, should file a class action lawsuit against the GOPe for discrimination and exclusion from having their votes null and void.

Cruz doesn’t care, and neither do some people here. Winning is everything, and ethics have no part in their lives. Lie, cheat, steal is acceptable behavior.

And to think there are Cruz people on FR that are totally proud of this crap going on.

Yup, it's pathetic that they are instilling this unethical attitude and behavior in their children.

Trumps job now is to educate the people of the criminal behavior of the RNC/Cruz thugs.

It doen't matter if they are educated. They will still support unethical behavior. Just look at what we're seeing here on a conservative web site.

If cruz had an ounce of decency he would tell the GOP to stuff it and do a proper , fair election and he doe snot want those delegates if they do not represent the people.

There's not an ounce of ethics difference between Cruz and the Obama-Reid-Pelosi snakes.

"Trump's job now is to educate the people of the criminal behavior of the RNC/Cruz thugs."

Trump's job now is to tighten up his speechifying, stick to the issues that work for him, elucidate them in understandable terms as they relate to his hearers, stick the stiletto in only when necessary, stop the complaining and petty attacks on everything moving and speak more calmly and with occasional humor when at the dais.

As his wife told him, "be more presidential".

My advice is free...and probably parallels what his circle is telling him.

Leave the attacks to surrogates, no holds barred.

the colorado caucus process is a sick, anti-democratic joke. About half a dozen people show up for each precinct caucus, and “elect” people to attend county assemblies and Congressional district assemblies; the county assemblies “elect” people to the state convention. The CD and State assemblies “elect” then delegates, who are supposedly unbound.

A couple thousand people out of a population of 5 million participate.

I know you mean well, but Trump is doing well all this time because H E takes it to the people, NOT surrogates. Stick to the issues? YES, but “surrogates” don’t impress anybody, including voters.

If you read my post, you'd have seen I said that Donald should "use the stilleto" when necessary. Contrary to what you stated, surrogates do fine, thank you. Note spokesman Manafort is all over the tubes the last couple days getting into detailed delegate specifications plus wading into the attack mode, things that Donald shouldn't and doesn't have to get bogged down with during his precious speech time.

Everything isn't "either"-"or". We'll be seeing more and more of a good mix as Mr. Trump presidentially segues into tighter speeches and a more calm, specific, issue-oriented, mode.....while still "taking it to the people" and remaining an animated sunuvabitch when necessary.

You make an excellent point, and I didn’t read the article, but yes, when donors support candidates to win state primaries do they understand that earned delegates are frauds and replaced with an opponents supporter?

Even at the county level and congressional district level delegates are only drafted if they can deliver the opponent and not the state wide winner.

By the time the state convention convenes, delegates are in place and organized like UNION thugs to subvert their state primary winner, delegates and all.
