He's talking about running the country, but Donald Trump's record on voting in elections, or rather the lack of it, is coming under fire.
The New York City Board of Elections says Mr Trump did not vote in any primary elections for 21 years.
The registered Republican, who has been touting himself as a prospective presidential candidate, would first need to get GOP voters to nominate him in a primary - a process in which official records show Trump repeatedly failed to participate in.
Mr Trump became a Democrat in 2001, and documents show he ignored that party's primaries as well, missing the 2001 and 2005 primaries for mayor.
In 2002, not only did Mr Trump miss the Democratic primaries for statewide offices, but records show he also skipped the general election, the AP reports.
There is also no evidence that Trump voted in the presidential primary between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, even though he voiced support for Mr Obama after Mrs Clinton took New York State.

There isn’t a firewall between the two except in really bad theologies.

But when Mr. Trump (and his Trumpettes) default to 3rd grade “cheating” as the explaination for his failure to harvest delegates under current GOP primary rules, people aren’t using their brains. It’s a cult of personality similar to Hope n Change. Their guy can do no wrong, and anyone who states facts is somehow evil, lyin’, odd looking, stupid, or all of the above.
As Trump would say, he only counter-punches. He never starts the fight; he finishes it. If the election is stolen from Trump, I have no problem with President Hillary or President Sanders. Both parties are equally corrupt.

I agree. (Not about your childish Trumpette insults.)
But, we’ve just never faced the reality before that the Republican Party is really no less of a banana republic junta than the Democrats are. We always believed that “our” party was better than that because “our” views aligned with “their” views and they never had to decide that our views were irrelevant.
So, people are a little angry at the party and at themselves for believing in this thing called the GOP and in the politicians who cleverly promise to be consistently conservative while they are actually just lying politicians. We expect the Democrats to be like that, but we really did not expect “our” politicians to be like that.
There will be a period of adjustment where people mistakenly call it cheating, but we are getting used to the idea that they’ve been lying Progressives all along. Even Senator “Face o’God”

I agree with you 99.9%. Remember Mississippi. The GOPe didn’t learn a damned thing when Eric Canter got shellacked. I could go on and on.
But Trumps record is as thin as can be. He clearly believes in some kind of expanded national health insurance. Abortion. He said education is a top federal government role. Really?
I support Sen. Cruz because his record is solid. I just want a unified conservative base to avoid a third Obama term. Think about it, Mr. Trump will need “Lyin’ Ted” votes to beat The Beast. Calling him names like a 3rd grader won’t be helpful in November.

I am a life-long Republican and I vote in every election. I’ve been around a long time in politics. If the nomination is stolen from Trump, I will not vote in the Presidential race. As far as I’m concerned, both parties are equally corrupt.

His political record, perhaps. He has been building things, running businesses, and creating jobs for my entire adult life. I’ve been saying for years that we need to stop electing professional vote-getters and start electing successful citizens.
I respect your reasons for choosing the professional politicker. There are good reasons for going with the savvy spender of taxpayer money.
But I am sick and tired of those guys. If Cruz is the best America has to offer itself, then America is dead already. Sometimes, you just have to grit your teeth and pull the band-aid off fast because it hurts less than pulling it one hair at a time.

Voting in primaries is a waste of time because your votes don’t count for anything.
Nope, so called Republicans that didn't get their candidate and sat on their hands gave us Obama.
Remember Romney, he had the election wrapped up but there were those who wouldn't vote for a "Mormon" wouldn't vote for a "RINO" , and wouldn't vote for anyone who wasn't their favorite.....it was VERY apparent.
Keep on doing what we have been doing and see if something different happens. GHWB, Dole, Mccain,Romney.....Cruz.
