Kasich: 'Establishment' not going to let Trump, Cruz become nominee
The Washington Examiner ^ | April 10, 2016 | By Rudy Takala (@RudyTakal

Republican delegates are not going to be likely to support either Donald Trump or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz when they get to the party's national convention in July, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said on Sunday.
.
.
.
"Here's what's interesting," Kasich said, suggesting that he was prepared to go down in history. "I am the second choice of both the Cruz people and also the Trump people. As you know, we've had 10 contested conventions, and only three times has the front-runner won. I don't want to go back in history too far, but I think old Honest Abe went into the convention either third or fourth and came out the winner. So we'll see."

According to the latest Fox News poll (which reliability I wouldn’t vouch for), Kasich is ahead of Cruz both in NY and PA.

“A tacit admission by Kasich that the RNC is a racketeering influenced and corrupt organization.”

Exactly.

Is there still talk of begging Romney to take a second nomination?

If it goes to a second ballot, the GOPe will have no use for Cruz at that point

This is the salient point and is absolutely true. I applauded Cruz when he exhibited great courage by lambasting McConnell on the floor of the Senate ... characterizing McConnell as the liar that he is. But as a result, there is no way McConnell is going to ever forget that public scolding ... nor will he ever forgive Cruz for doing what he did.

Cruzealots can get all excited when "their guy" occasionally wins a primary and when he, well, "obtains" Trump delegates by whatever means, but understand this clearly: Cruz will never carry the nomination no matter how many delegates he collects. The GOPEs -- especially McConnell who abhors conservatives in general and has Cruz squarely in his crosshairs -- will do everything possible to extract his revenge.

Cruz on the second ballot. You heard it here first.

And his last win as a politician.

McConnell no more controls the delegates than I do. Is this now a David Icke conspiracy theory website?

Good for you Mr. Son of a Mailman. You and the “establishment” are going to effectively destroy the Republican Party and hand the Presidential and Congressional elections to the Democrat Party, and the next few Supreme Court appointees will be liberals. Thanks for screwing up the entire country for you stupid egos.

Yeah. I’m thinking those positions won’t sit well with us vulgarians who support both candidates. As a Cruz guy Trump is my second choice. Hope it is reciprocal with the Trump folks. So, no Kasich ...ever.

Wrong. You appear on the ballot, and I Kamakazi Vote.

In any party whoever has the most elected delegates should be the nominee. All this talk about superdelegates and that delegates are not required to vote for the person that they were elected for as delegates is all bullshit. The elites control the nominations and they control the elctions. If anybody actually believes that this country has a democratic election process they are completely out of their minds. Everything is manipulated. The media is manipulated. The elections are manipulated. The votes are electronically manipulated. Illegals and dead people vote on a regular basis, and many people vote multiple times. That’s why I don’t bother voting anymore.

It’s all one big joke. The supreme court makes up laws and has taken much of the power from the states in obvious violation of the constitution.

This country is being destroyed and all people care about is free stuff. Any candidate that gives away the most stuff will be elected. In 10 or 20 years when the USA becomes like Europe everybody will be wondering what happened. This country is run by the uniparty and it doesn’t matter who is president and living in the rainbow house.

There are people running this country that could not even run a lemonade stand. All the politicians care about is lining their pockets and having special laws and benefits just for them. The roman empire ended for the same reasons that this country will be coming to an end soon. Corruption is out of control. Government secrets are sold to the highest bidder without any consequence.

This country is coming to a well deserved end.

Drudge is pushing the Colorado fiasco big time:

SHOCK: Republicans cancel presidential election in CO...
Voters burn registrations in protest...
TRUMP: How is it possible people of the state never got to vote?
‘This will not be allowed!’
1 MILLION REPUBLICANS SIDELINED...
PAPER: GOP made big mistake abandoning presidential tally...

FURY AS COLORADO HAS NO PRIMARY OR CAUCUS; CRUZ CELEBRATES VOTERLESS VICTORY

Could be a step too far for camp Cruz

It will not be Kasich nor Ryan. Kasich has the charisma of a cold wet wash cloth, so he is a nonstarter. Ryan does not have the correct personality or any personality at all. So neither of them.

Wouldn’t be the first time Cruz turned a victory into defeat by being dishonorable.

Not at all, my FRiend. Just applying a little common sense and conclusions from decades of observing politicians who thrive on power and status on how people in power deal with a person they despise who berated them publicly.

My comment is not regarding Trump vs Cruz ... it's regarding a very powerful GOPE force headed by a very powerful old-timer who is royally P-O'd at Cruz, and who is just biding his time until he can settle things ... publicly.

Are you suggesting that McConnell is not vindictive ... ... that he has forgiven Cruz for calling him a liar on the floor of the Senate, that he has "seen the light" and has become fond enough of Cruz to want Cruz (instead of, say, Ryan or Bush or Romney or even Kasich ... doesn't really matter which one) to be the head of the co-equal branch of government?

Forgive me if I don't agree.

Oh, and McConnell doesn't have to control a single delegate to take out Cruz ... there are myriad ways to do that without involving any delegates. You know that!
