Kasich: 'Establishment' not going to let Trump, Cruz become nominee
The Washington Examiner ^ | April 10, 2016 | By Rudy Takala (@RudyTakal

Republican delegates are not going to be likely to support either Donald Trump or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz when they get to the party's national convention in July, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said on Sunday.
.
.
.
"Here's what's interesting," Kasich said, suggesting that he was prepared to go down in history. "I am the second choice of both the Cruz people and also the Trump people. As you know, we've had 10 contested conventions, and only three times has the front-runner won. I don't want to go back in history too far, but I think old Honest Abe went into the convention either third or fourth and came out the winner. So we'll see."

A Twitter post says almost 8,000 delegates to the State Convention.

You are as dishonest as your candidate.

Cruz may be on the second ballot, but he won't win the second ballot.

“I am the second choice of both the Cruz people and also the Trump people.”

I do not believe there is any evidence to support such a claim.

I'll take that as a compliment.

You are as honest as yours.

“If it goes to a second ballot, the GOPe will have no use for Cruz at that point.”

IF the GOP3 picks Cruz, then we’ll know Cruz is not what he is pretending to be. If the establishment is happy with him, then they know he is willing to be their puppet.

IF they don’t pick him, then they are as scared of him upsetting their status quo as they are of Trump pointing out and ending the corruption.

You credit Cruz with winning a Soviet-style election in Colorado, and then are too embarrassed to admit what actually happened.

Unfortunately, Kasich is right. If we get a brokered convention, neither Trump nor Cruz will be the nominee. Bylaw 40 (8 state minimum win rule to be nominee) won't protect them, the delegates will scrap that along with Trump and Cruz by the second round.

Where Kasich is deluded is in thinking that he'll be the nominee. He's far down on the GOP establishment's pecking order, far behind Ryan, Romney, Jeb, and even Marco in the nomination line.

It was basically a caucus at the State Convention and every candidate should have known about.

Perhaps you are too embarressed to admit that your candidate wasn't prepared for it.

I’m beginning to wonder if the 2016 election depends on the integrity of the FBI.
Less worried about Trump/Cruz/Kasich, more worried about Clinton/Biden/wildcard.
But 1860 is to 2016 as Lincoln is to Kasich. Very little similarity.

It was merely a way for the Colorado GOPe to enforce never-Trump, and the more corrupt it gets, the prouder Cruz supporters are of the Establishment.

Paul Ryan is the eGOP’s faithful servant. He will be the convention nominee. Cruz is playing the role of Useful Idiot right now.

Kasich is worse than a RINO; he’s a Democrat in disguise and a far left one at that!

“He doesn’t have to argue anything. The Real Clear Politics averages for head to heads with Hilary Clinton does all the arguing. Ted Cruz does VASTLY BETTER against Hilary Clinton than Sleazy tRump does. And its been like that for close to a year. Its not going to change.”

Oh, yeah. I’m going to believe a poll.

Hint... The media hates Trump and is doing anything and everything possible to derail him. If they say: “Ted Cruz is doing way better against Hillary!” you have to wonder what their motives are for saying that. If they’re telling us Ted Cruz is stronger, you can be sure that Ted Cruz is weaker, because they ARE ON THE SIDE OF THE DEMOCRATS.
