There is a limit to how much stress can be put on something before it is finally and irreversibly destroyed. It goes by several different names. Critical mass, tipping point, and system overload are but a few. In each case, the term refers to an event that finally breaks the camel's back (to use yet another term for the same thing).
Society is not merely reaching its critical mass; it is reaching it so swiftly that predictably, there will be an abrupt and catastrophic breakdown of historic proportions, eclipsing even the fall of the Roman Empire. [snip]
The backlash has up until recently been silent. That is changing. The Sanders and Trump candidacies are merely the rumblings of a volcano preparing to erupt. People are fed up.
No one can predict exactly what the spark will be that sets off the powder keg. All we can say with certainty is that there is a powder keg, and there is a lit fuse.
Boom.

Very nice first paragraph. Felt like the tendrils of truth running up my spine.
Should have stopped there.

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
When things get too heated “inside,” the leaders start wars with outsiders. This serves to consolidate the power structure and to distract the populace. It also has a side effect that current world leaders see as beneficial, reduction of population.
I am lamenting the lack of of concern for our society among our leaders.
Every generation in history since the birth of Christ has thought they were living in the End Times.
Just in recent history - the Civil War, WW I, Great Depression, WW II, Soviet threat, Korea, assassinations, VietNam.
Society is always reaching critical mass.
“Apeople unwilling to use extreme violent force to obtain or preserve their liberty deserves the tyrannts that rule them.” me
This writer shares your opinion, all the way to the part about a collapse bigger than the Roman Empire’s.
Just think, there are 18 million deer hunters in Ameroca, that number is only for deer hunters and doesn’t include other types of hunters or sport shooters.
While as a last resort I wouldn’t disagree, I think there is much more we could do short of violence.
One thing, is voting for a change instead of the same old DNC/RNC dog n pony show we’ve let practically destroy this nation for the last 60 years.
D1
“A people get the rulers they deserve.” Jefferson
“The American populace has been so dumbed-down that we deserve a President Hillary”
We sure got what we deserved over the past 8 years, with 51% and 49% of the corrupt American Electorate voting 0bummer in, and back in, TWICE.
We’re not going to survive another 4-8yrs of this crap.
When one side is the belligerent and the other has nothing left to lose...explosive wears result.
wears = wars
It’s the threat of violence that can turn the tide, as Jefferson stated, “when the people fear the goverment you have tyranny when the government fears the people you have liberty.”
Well, they’re scared ——less, that’s for sure.
And the man that makes them tremble, IS NOT the Dime Minister of Canada.
We are the verge of a revolution much like in 17th century France. The Washington ruling class could find a scaffold waiting on the Mall. Madam LaFarge has her knitting ready
For a good many years, our government has been operating based upon the assumption that we will not give them any reason for mortal fear. One day I hope to turn on the news and find that they miscalculated.
What do you think would happen if I made an “All White Zine” magazine.
Fed up doesn’t begin to describe my distaste at the racist entitlement.
Like what can we do? They have the game mechanics down to where they can do anything, legal or otherwise. They can break any law and get away with it, There’ all globalists and ivy league gentry. They make themselves and those that keep paying to keep them in power millions.
Repeal the 17th, give the states back the right to determine their own Senators. Disallow campaign contributions from out of state entities to in state political candidates.
