WASHINGTON (AP) — clip

Ted Cruz's big delegate victory in Colorado increases the chances of a contested Republican convention this summer.

Trump would need to win nearly 60 percent of all the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination before the convention. So far, he's winning 46 percent.

Following Cruz's sweep of Colorado's remaining delegates on Saturday, the Associated Press count stands at Trump 743, Cruz 545, and John Kasich 143. Marco Rubio, who suspended his campaign, has 171 delegates.

Those are nasty cartoons. Guess I will figure out how to post pics, like those tiny, tiny hands.

Wish FR had a “Like” option!

Cruz operation is sleazy and busted by the tweet showing GOP collusion with Cruz. Nasty, nasty Cruz scrounging for votes against the will of the people. Disenfranchising primary voters across state lines. Shame on his campaign but this tactic will be one of Cruz's downfalls.

When primaries were beauty contests and before they became binding in the 1960’s. Hopefully Colorado will go back to a presidential primary after the chaos of a caucus the Democratic side this year. The will of the people marches on and it seems to be supported on both sides of the aisle.

It’s not because anyone likes Cruz.

Which is why he can't win the election with votes, why he has to use the insider "know the rules" crap to steal it.

>It is Trump’s fault he didn’t know the rules or have anyone in his campaign who did. Actually I think Cruz will be an extremely appreciated president. Such an even temperament, explains things easily, knows how to talk to all people with respect and will make significant changes, first being enforcement of existing laws.

The only thing Cruz will do is start robbing the country the way he’s robbing republican voters. Once a thief, always a thief.

If Cruz intended to enforce existing laws, he would not even be running for President.

Michigan? Cough...

So, this is funny. Ted thinks this is a big deal.

Sad.

Ted is about to find out what a big deal is.

In the next 16 days Ted will be lucky to have 550-600 delegates, and Trump will have close to a thousand.

Ted’s ground game indeed...

i just looked that up tonight. The credentials process actually gave the three slates in question to Taft.

Somehow, Eisenhower and nixon got the larger convention delegates to overrule the committees.

Makes Ike seem FAR less popular than what we have been brainwashed to believe.

We’re watching the death of the Republic. Just cancel the general election and let the GOP and Dems divide up the spoils while we’re at it since our votes don’t mater.

The founding fathers fought a revelation because the crown of England refused to give voters representation. Today Cruz and the GOP have done the same to the base of the republican party. We will not stand for it.

Gee. Are the snowflakes, whose "dog ate the homework" whining again about "stealing" and "unfairness"?

Needless to say, you can have swarms of people in a stadium cheering on the tossed red meat, and get wall to wall TV coverage over and above all the others--for months at that, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans if your infrastructure you've dismantled state after state post-caucus instead of having your people engage in their local county and state parties intricately and extensively. It means your team has simply left the football field at the end of the third quarter with a leading score, only to forfeit the whole game. Nobody stole nothing! Manafort would be the first person to tell you this. And that is what he was urgently and belatedly hired for by Mr Trump.

And the Cruz cult is happy to hand the election to Hillary as long as they can keep Trump from winning.

Cruz is NO DIFFERENT than Obama.

Cruz thinks he can run in 2020 if Trump loses so he is trying to throw the election to the Dems. Cruz in 2016, 2018 Senate run and then again in 2020 would be an overdose of the Cuban-Canadian on our TV screens. I doubt this country would ever recover from that. LOL.

Ahem. Are you officially declaring you won’t vote for the nominee unless it’s trump?

Because that’s cause for a zot. (or it used to be)

“so, you’re conceding”

What does what I’m doing personally matter? You don’t care about the country, only about promoting your Trump-hate.

You and your Teddy Cruz will destroy what gets in your way. Proud of yourselves you are.

But don’t worry, Trump will still win big in your poll.

the Associated Press count stands at Trump 743, Cruz 545, and John Kasich 143. Marco Rubio, who suspended his campaign, has 171 delegates.

If no one reaches 1237 before the convention, and if those Rubio and Kasich delegates predominately come over to Cruz over Trump--and they will end up going to one or the other--then Cruz can win. Let's hope.

That scenario looks like an excellent possibility.

I don’t see any uncommitted delegates moving to Trump now.

Trump’s ego is too large to go risky Independent because he would likely surmise the odds of him securing enough EV as being very low, and this man simply cannot stand to lose. If he knew it would make him a Ross Perot-like asterisk in American history and thus imperil his “brand”, money considerations will “trump” any patriotism and he will invariably slink back into business and entertainment. If Conservatives then want to have sour grapes and be homeless and reject the most conservative GOP nominee in 35 years, there ain’t much thus American can do about it. President Hillary Rodham Clinton.

There’s no reason you folks couldn’t be doing better in it.

You have the same opportunity to participate the Trump folks do.
