Insulting others seems to have some cathartic affect on them.
Be the bigger person and stop doing it first.
Here on FR Trumpsters have nothing on the Cruz Brigade.
Their means-spirited attacks began more than 15 months ago.
For a long time I questioned why Cruz seemed so nice, and his supporters so mean spirited.
I’m a bit of a slow learner at times, turns out his supporters have the same spirit as Cruz himself, he just managed to keep it hidden longer.
You suffer from an inability to see a perspective other than your own. I promise you Trump supporters get just as much from the Cruz supporters. Perhaps it's more concentrated even from the Cruz supporters - there seems to be just as many insults coming from Cruz supporters, which is strange because there are so few of them.
she has nothing to base that on if one uses the commenters on her own articles and the website she posts on.
Check out the lunatic TDS rantings of a one named “ragspierre”, a long time member of that site.
Pretty much every single one of his posts to an article on this election would be removed here for the vile personal attacks and profanity
When Trump entered the race I was somewhere between ambivalent and favorably inclined. I remain ambivalent towards him, but his enablers have pretty much assured that I won’t be voting for him.
Reminds me of a guy I used to work with, who espoused ideas I mostly agreed with. But he was such a jerk I did not want him on my side.
That's because we are low information angry losers.
That’s funny. I keep seeing that behavior from Cruz supporters.
More likely we are attacked first, but hey you stick to your narrative.
They learned it from their Master.
“Insulting others seems to have some cathartic affect on them.”
Both sides, Trump/Cruz, say that it’s all about winning back the
White House. Most Cruz supporters say they will vote for Trump,
I know I will. On the other hand , most Trump supporters say they
will not vote for Cruz.
Something is wrong here and it’s a lot more than a
cathartic affect. The definition of liberalism is the
triumph of emotion over common sense.
It may be a little or a lot of both but perspective is
definitely in the back seat.
“Insulting others seems to have some cathartic affect on them”
You may have missed the post where documented tweets calling Trump supporters every vulgar name under the sun and wishing death on them and calling Trump an “abortion”.
Those were high-profile tweets by the way. Guess even the famous Trump haters need catharsis, right?
That was a nice, insulting rant. Now how did that make you feel?
You are only one step away from logic like “He is so pro-Trump that he is likely to be violent, maybe I should kill him first!”
The writer isn’t talking so much about attacks on one candidate or the other, he’s talking about Trump supporters intrinsic hostility. Its almost impossible to interact with one without them immediately resort to personal insults. Its remarkable.
Insulting others seems to have some cathartic affect on them.
It is not Trump supporters who are “almost impossible to interact with without them immediately resorting to personal insults.”
I don’t even have to go back one day to prove my point...
Received this little “gem” this morning in response to something I had said to another poster—not ballplayer. But ballplayer (with whom I have never interacted) is clearly a very nasty Cruz supporter whose first word to me was “idiot” and then ended with word “idiot”.... so twice in one post:

Idiot, just because your candidate is an amateur doesnt mean he got cheated, you must be another Obama idiot

So please don’t state it is the “intrinsic hostility” of Trump supporters!
