Pro-Life Group Blasts Politico & Daily Beast False Reports of Trump Snub
Media research center ^ | 4-7-2016 | Jeff Donetz

Wednesday evening, Twitter was filled with angry tweets claiming that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump "blew off" a group of pro-lifers just days after he had issues with his stance on abortion. Inciting the angry tweets were articles in Politico and the Daily Beast announcing the supposed slight. There was only one problem with the stories - they were false and neither news source bothered to correct their error.

The falsehood seems to have begun with Politico on Wednesday, as their article was originally posted at 11:49 a.m. and tweeted by Politico, with declaration, "Trump Expected to Address Anti-Abortion Leaders." It was then "updated" at 5:10 p.m.

The Daily Beast post was published at 4:15 p.m. that same day.

Each story claimed that Trump was supposed to call in to speak to the 115 Forum, a pro-life conference led by "Priests for Life."

The media continues to lie and Cruz fanatics help support it... Just like their preacher-leader.

"Twitter erupted"

Wonder how metrosexual you have to be to post an angry tweet, if you're a guy?

That’s right, he didn’t ‘blow them off’, he never intended to speak to them. He has those New York values after all....

Don’t be a little be-atch. If there are less in this story prove them out or go back to your adult day care.

So, Trump was apparently never asked to address the group, and there is no indication that he was aware of this meeting. And Politico ran with a story on how Trump was supposed to address the group, but didn’t.

This ranks right up there with blaming Trump for running the Nat’l Enquirer story about Cruz’s alleged infidelities, despite the fact that Trump had nothing to do with it.

Trump does nothing and had no knowledge of the subject, yet gets blamed as if this is evidence of his non-fitness to be president.

The media bias is strong.

And a post that has nothing to do with Cruz, of course gets all sorts of insults from Strumpets. I agree it's a non issue, but you have to agree that there are a ton of BS stories posted ad infinitum by both Trum and Cruz supporters.

It would be great if people could stick to posting valid informational articles, all these attack articles do nothing to change anyone's mind, they are just preaching to the respective choirs.

Put up or shut up, or in other words, provide proof of your claim.

“The falsehood seems to have begun with Politico on Wednesday..”

Then promptly posted numerous times on FR by Hillary supporters.

They never asked him to, I notice they never asked Ted to either. So what is your point? Oh that’s right, it is to defame Trump for anything and everything. That is after all what shallow people do, and quite well I might add.

Falsehoods with Politico started well before Wednesday!   ;-)

For those who believe Trump’s wealth is a “problem”

I’d respectfully remind folks that, with just a few exceptions, the men who crafted and signed the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution were near the TOP OF THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SCALE for their time!

Like Trump, nearly all were motivated by their desire for FREEDOM from a despotic tyrant. Most of them paid DEARLY for their rebellion. Near the end of his life, Jefferson’s absence from his beloved Monticello caused his finances to be so damaged that Congress offered to purchase his magnificent and extensive library. That purchase was the nucleus for today’s Library of Congress.

If you do not know the history of the prices paid by those architects of the freedoms we today take for granted – and are in the process of allowing to be taken away by the tyrants of today – their stories are at the link below. Please take the time to review them!

As the authors of this site comment, some of these stories may or may not be completely accurate. That said, it’s safe to say that their lives would have been far less difficult if they had – to use the language of many of the tyrants now infesting the Beltway and other power centers in 2016 – simply “Gone along to Get along”. And we’d probably STILL be singing “Hail to the Queen”.

Ted Cruz’s pro-life credibility has never been in question. The Donald could care less about the issue, except what it means to his electoral chances.

And I have defamed nobody. You would actually need character for it to be defamed. I take him at his word. He is ‘very pro-choice’, or very pro-abortion.

Well that's your opinion and you are certainly welcome to it, but that was not the issue. The issue was that the claims that he blew them off were false.

I'm still waiting for Ted Cruz to bring suit against the National Enquirer that has supposedly defamed him. I know I would have taken them to court had it been me, because I would know it is not true.
