AP-GfK Poll: Americans overwhelmingly view Trump negatively
AP ^ | April 7 2016 | Julie Pace Emily Swanson

For Americans of nearly every race, gender, political persuasion and location, disdain for Donald Trump runs deep, saddling the Republican front-runner with unprecedented unpopularity as he tries to overcome recent campaign setbacks.

Seven in 10 people, including close to half of Republican voters, have an unfavorable view of Trump, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll. It's an opinion shared by majorities of men and women; young and old; conservatives, moderates and liberals; and whites, Hispanics and blacks — a devastatingly broad indictment of the billionaire businessman.

Even in the South, a region where Trump has won GOP primaries decisively, close to 70 percent view him unfavorably. And among whites without a college education, one of Trump's most loyal voting blocs, 55 percent have a negative opinion.

Trump still leads the Republican field in delegates and has built a loyal following with a steady share of the Republican primary electorate. But the breadth of his unpopularity raises significant questions about how he could stitch together enough support in the general election to win the White House.

It also underscores the trouble he may still face in the Republican race, which appears headed to a contested convention where party insiders would have their say about who will represent the GOP in the fall campaign.

"He's at risk of having the nomination denied to him because grass-roots party activists fear he's so widely disliked that he can't possibly win," said Ari Fleischer, a former adviser to President George W. Bush.

Beyond their generally negative perception of Trump, large majorities also said they would not describe him as civil, compassionate or likable. On nearly all of these measures, Trump fared worse than his remaining Democratic or Republican rivals.

Now please explain YOUR obsessive hatred of Trump.

Yeah, but the problem is Hillary has her base and it is solid.

Democrats do not care about the evil she does...they are blindly loyal.

So Trump would need to get Republican voters ... all or most of them. And he won’t be able to do that.

People are so negative about him that they will not bother to vote.

That’s wrong but we can’t make people vote for someone they detest.

brilliant, principled, successful, hardworking, Christian, conservative, kind, loving, decent couple who make ideal role models for every American.

Except for the lies that easily roll of his lips. Heck, he even lies about his mom.

Raw Footage

Posting pictures of Ted Cruz may make you feel good but it will not help Donald Trump.

And, by the way, there have only been two pictures posted in the history of the universe in which Donald Trump didn’t look like a pouty Homer Simpson with a bad comb-over.

It is claimed they hate Trump (reality says otherwise) because hes Pro-America and anti-Globalist Gravy-Train. Unlike Cruz who has consistently shown himself to be anti-American and pro Globalist.

Do I need the list the un-refuted facts of his consistently selling out Americans again? Drafting NAFTA, TPP, Currency manipulation, Corker bill, etc.

Amen.

It’s been another of my theories that Trump supporters have become little versions of Trump.

As in Trump constantly doing childish things like tweeting about Megyn Kelly or constantly referring to his opponent as ‘lying Ted.”

So, the little trumpers, having become the person they worship, do the same thing.

Having no logical arguments, they just spout out insults.

If I ever get a reasonable post from one, I will reply. But so far, I’m waiting for that.

Can a poll result be made to order? Yes. Does the Associated Press want Trump to be the GOP nominee? No, they do not.

Why don't they want him nominated if he's guaranteed to lose?

Because they know he can win. They're lying. Funny that Cruz supporters are so eager to believe the same media that demonizes their man without mercy.

How did this get into a digression about Megyn Kelly?

If you’re suggesting that Donald wants to flirt with Hillary, I’m not sure how.

Absolutely, the people were PRE-SELECTED for the poll. FROM the end of the story:

"Respondents were first selected randomly using telephone or mail survey methods and later interviewed online. People selected for KnowledgePanel who didn’t otherwise have access to the Internet were provided access at no cost to them."

So they call you up or spam your email, interview you in chat to see where you are on the political spectrum and finally put you in front of a computer to complete your un-biased, at random opinion.

Stinking Liars!

I just see a lot of Trumpers comparing this election to 1980 in order to give themselves hope and I chuckle
