I still can’t believe that Ms. Carpenter wasn’t disciplined — in any way — by CNN for posting a comment like that.

She has a First Amendment right to say anything she wants. But she is a CNN commentator, and as such, one would think that CNN would have a problem with her representing them like that. i.e., it’s not about First Amendment, it’s about company ethics.
