Ivanka Trump beams as she introduces The Donald to massive crowd in New York just a week after giving birth to son Theodore

The 34-year-old gushed about her father's successes in business She told the crowd it was 'not easy' leaving her newborn son at home But she claims she only did it because this election is so important Ivanka beamed at the crowds, her brothers Eric and Don were in the wings Her sister Tiffany, brother Baron, and stepmom Melania were not there

Ivanka Trump introduced her father to a massive crowd in his home city of New York on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old, who recently gave birth, looked radiant as she reeled off a list of reasons voters should back Donald Trump for the Republican nomination.

She gushed about his 'refusal to take no for an answer' and his successes in various industries.

Though she has read the same speech before, the crowd in Bethpage, Long Island, was ecstatic.

And she also squeezed in a shout-out to her one-week-old son Theodore, and lamented to the crowds about how difficult it was to leave him at home so she could come to make her speech.

All of her siblings bar Tiffany and Baron were stood in the wings. There was no sign of Trump's wife Melania.

When Trump emerged, he told the 10,000-strong crowd there was 17,000 of them as he attempted to put on a defiant show after conceding to Ted Cruz in Wisconsin.

'Good evening New York. It is very, very, very nice to be home,' Ivanka opened at the event recorded by Right Side Broadcasting.

'I'm excited tonight to introduce my father. There's a lot of things that make Donald Trump special to me, as a parent and as a mentor. But the most important is the strength of his character.

‘As a young girl growing up my father always told me that I could do anything that I’d set my mind to. He meant it.’

She went on, gushing about the number of people her father has employed and ‘inspired’ - reminding the crowd that ‘many of those people live right here in New York, where my father himself was born.’

As the crowd screamed Ivanka giggled, gave a thumbs up and mouthed ‘love you’ to her audience.

She claimed her father motivates people ‘to achieve the impossible’. And she said: ‘My father has also succeeded at the highest level in a vast number of industries because the common denominator is him.’

I hear Ivanka’s made-in-China scarves were recalled because of a fire hazard.

I wonder if the Trump kids are contemplating a career in politics themselves.

Don Jr and Ivanka are pretty impressive.

They have a lot of Trump positives and almost none of the negatives.

I'm not a fan of political dynasties, but they could provide the foothold for a stronger Republican party in New York and the Northeast.

‘beamed’ ‘gushed’ ‘squeezed ‘ ‘lamented’ ‘gushing’ ‘giggled’ ‘mouthed’

Daily Mail reporters must have a list of negative words to use for dissing people while apparently reporting ‘objectively’ on an appearance.

I bet the list was right there on the desk as he/she typed in the article. As for the article, the word is ‘snigger’.

This is important for FReepers to consider because it has a meaning to you about something.

(Cannot believe that just 6 months ago, I was donating hard cash to Ted Cruz campaign. We all can and do make mistakes.)

Don, Jr is excellent too. Get him on the stumps. Eric can work the radio and TV circuit.
Trump needs massive wins going forward and if he enters the convention with momentum but a little shy of the delegates he should be the nominee. If not then the GOPee will have a war and desertions. Trump should go 3rd party if that happens.

I guess the hypocrisy of made-in-China is lost on Trump supporters.

The hypocrisy of the Trump family making goods in China that pose a burn risk to consumers is lost on Trump supporters.

Hateful words directed at those FReepers who no longer support Cruz; that's all they are. IOW: meaningless.

I noticed all of those slanted words, too! The only one missing was the gold standard: “controversial.” The write did manage to slip in a few snarky comments about Melania not being present, and about how recently Ivanka gave birth (implying she’s a neglectful mother).

I am not repeating lies and smears. I am reporting facts- big difference. There are many news stories covering Ivanka’s Chinese-made scarves that are flammable and pose a burn risk to consumers. Lies on your part- facts on mine.
