Trump Whines and Whines Until He Loses
Townhall.com ^ | April 6, 2016 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 04/06/2016 2:50:23 PM PDT by Kaslin

On Tuesday night, Senator Ted Cruz, R-TX, won a sweeping victory over 2016 Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump in Wisconsin. Cruz won virtually every demographic, nearly 50 percent of the vote and the vast bulk of the delegates. It's becoming increasingly clear that Trump could fail to reach the necessary 1,237 delegates in order to win the nomination outright on the first ballot at the convention. If so, there's no way he wins the nomination at all.

That's because Trump has made himself radioactive.

If Trump had disappeared from the American political scene after his big win in Arizona, he'd have wrapped up the nomination by now. Instead, he defended his lying campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, after Lewandowski was charged with battery for allegedly grabbing, yanking and bruising a reporter; tweeted nastily about Heidi Cruz's looks; repeatedly suggested that Cruz had violated federal law without evidence; trotted out surrogates to slander anti-Trump women as Cruz's adulteresses; flipped his abortion position four times in less than three days; found himself on the short end of the interview stick with a Wisconsin radio host; labeled health care, housing and education as key functions of the federal government; accused the Republican National Committee and state delegations of attempting to "steal" the nomination from him by engaging in traditional delegate politics; and stated that he would likely select Supreme Court justices who would investigate Hillary Clinton's email server, for starters.

The more Trump talks, the worse he sounds.

Now, Trump's supporters keep saying he's just learning the ropes. After all, he's never run for political office before, so a few hiccups are to be expected. But Trump continues to demonstrate a complete inability to learn. After losing Wisconsin, did Trump turn down his "Spinal Tap" speakers from volume 11 to 8? Of course not. He turned the volume up to 12 with a campaign statement that bragged that Trump's 13-point blowout at Cruz's hands was actually a big win in which he "withstood the onslaught of the establishment yet again." The statement also stated openly, and without evidence, that Cruz had illegally coordinated with his super PACs, and slammed Cruz as being "worse than a puppet -- he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump."

Trump's campaign is flailing because it's not a campaign; it's a self-produced vanity reality TV special. Trump didn't bother to learn the delegate rules because he couldn't be bothered to do so. He doesn't bother to learn the ins and outs of his own policies because, hey, why bother when people flock to you for shouting slogans about building walls? Last month, he fired his data team manager and elevated the second in command. But the second in command apparently doesn't know politics, or even how to access the data itself.

But don't worry: Trump has a very good brain and hires all the best people.

By the time of the Republican National Convention, Trump will be 70-years-old. Sadly, he has significantly less self-control than my 2-year-old daughter. He's spent his entire life being handed things: money, fame, female companionship. Now he can't understand why he's not being handed the nomination. So, like Veruca Salt in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," he'll scream.

It won't work. Trump joked months ago that his strategy was to "keep whining and whining until I win." But now he's beginning to lose. And the whining won't stop anytime soon.

“he would likely select Supreme Court justices who would investigate Hillary Clinton’s email server, for starters.”

That was a good one.

That’s how propaganda works.

The only reason Wisconsin was hyped is because Cruz was expected to win. It’s a relatively small number of delegates.

Cruz now must win a greater percentage of the remaining delegates than he did before Wisconsin. He’s falling behind yet it’s touted as a great victory.

Just heard Trump on TV, speaking about his disdain for the delegate selection rules, and Cruz out working him and getting delegates: “I don’t care about rules, folks”. OK, so the rules should apply to everyone else, but not to Trump. That pretty much sums up Trump’s general attitude, which is a bit disconcerting after seven years of a President who also doesn’t seem to care about rules, such as Constitutional limits on his power.

And, please don’t tell me Trump would not be criticizing people if the shoe were on the other foot and they complained about him “stealing their delegates”. He would call them whiners, so why is he not now whining?

Yeah Trump gets childish and rants when he loses something, then he seems to recover over time and move on. He should be more guarded and disciplined. He needs thicker skin to be in politics.

But to be fair he does put up with a lot of ridiculous crap thrown at him. It does go with the territory of being in politics, but I don't think we should discount it when we judge the man.

I still rate this flaw in Trump far less disturbing than the moral flaw Cruz exposed after Chicago when he decided to blame the victims of leftwing thuggery for being attacked. Cruz is far more guarded about mouthing off emotionally..but although Trump has all the grace of an irate sports fan who screams at the referee, I can't believe Trump would do something so nasty. I found my interpretation of their characters confirmed when an absurd stunt by Sandra Fields made Trump's campaign manager look bad for those who do not pay much attention. The easy nasty evil thing to do is to throw him under the bus. Cruz said he would do it. Trump showed he would not.

There has never been a wimpier, more unmanly presidential candidate.

Aw shut up Shapiro. You are also a whiner and a screwball.

He's a yappy little rat that would have worn his lunch every day where I went to school.

Cruz is the flavor of the month—until the MSM turns on him. They support him only to get rid of Trump—Once that’s done they will turn him into a religious nut, a coward, a cheater and more.

I am an avid Trump supporter based on his positions and proven success in the private sector. However, his post WI election remarks were pathetic. I used to shake my head when people used the word “implode.” Last night I think I saw Trump implode. He’s burnining himself out and needs to take a week off and hit the restet button.

Shapiro is on the long list of neo-con artists who are anti-Trump. What he writes isn’t worth the time to read.

Every word of this article is true! Trump can’t keep his mouth shut and is unable to take any criticism, real or perceived. This narcissism will be his downfall, no matter how many of his advisors tell him to “act more Presidential”
It’s a downward trajectory he is on..and the slide is getting steeper.

Coulter drop-kicked Cruz and his flock into the cheap seats today and that’s all that matters.

Just read Ann Coulter’s column today. A devastating attack on Cruz and Cruz-Bots.

MOONIES FOR CRUZ

It is highly unfair to moonies to compare them to the execrable Cruzberger's, the ISIS of the Republican party.

Cruz is playing the role of the turd in the punch bowl, deluding the gullible to join the evil in the destruction of America.

It never was

Everyone is acting like it was going to make or break Trump. All it means is that Cruz only needs 88% of the remaining delegates where as before WI he needed 89%....
